Is this working? Hello..?

[The young woman on screen seems to be having some difficulty angling the camera straight at her face. Instead, she's mostly showing one side and a view of the room beyond her shoulder. There's a huge cauldron set up behind her, though it's presently empty.

Pardon me for disturbing you all. My name is Ayesha Altugle and I guess I'm new here too? I was wondering... If it's no trouble to ask, of course...

Has anyone here heard of something called 'alchemy?' Or, maybe..? [Ayesha bites her lip. Right. She may know that witches and alchemy are connected, but she's not supposed to talk about witches! Hm. How to approach this...] Has anyone heard of... uhhhhhhhh let's go with... 'magic!'

[...]

Oh wait. I guess we all have heard of magic now, huh? Uhhh never mind then.

Wait. Mind again, please! Have any of you ever seen any strange glowing flowers? Hmmm. Yes, that's my last question. Thank you so much!

I haven't heard of alchemy... but "magic" was something that I knew about even before this world.

[ Even if she did say "never mind" she might as well give a bit of her thoughts. ]

I haven't seen any strange glowing flowers, but I could help search for them if you'd like...?

Of course. Two sets of eyes are better than one, after all.

I mean both magic and alchemy are common back home for me. We even have classes for both of those.

Haven't really seen any glowing flowers unless you're talking about one's that are enchanted.

[I mean witch is an accurate, but slightly old fashioned term nowadays.]

I mean yeah, since I got to a school for teaching magic. Though, we have a lot of different magic classes for things. Like there's stuff for curses, practical magic, magical theory, and all of that. And alchemy though I have a hard time with that one.

And oh... your sister? Wouldn't a tracking spell be better?

See.... that's surprising because I find alchemy difficult. It's a lot of confusing formulas and different ingredients. Not to mention when you then get into potion making.

[That and he tends to get overwhelmed easily.]

I mean, I don't know if I could help you much, but like if you wanted some pointers, maybe...

[ There's a word, that Winry hasn't heard here yet. ...But as she goes on, it sounds less like that they'd be talking about the same kind of stuff. Oh well!]

It's working! Hello! My name is Winry Rockbell, please just call me Winry and we're all still new here, right?

What kind of alchemy are you talking about? We don't have magic back home and I'm not an alchemist, but-- I've heard a lot about it because I know some alchemists. Haven't seen any glowing flowers, no, but they sound really pretty, I hope I'll see some here!

It's nice to meet you too, Ayesha!

Yes, we have people who are alchemist like my best friends and people, who aren't alchemists like me. And it can be really useful when it's used right, that's true. I hope you'll meet Ed and Al someday, they aren't here at least not now but maybe they'll show up here too, they know so much more about it than me.

[oh no, sad smile... she'll try to be encouraging! ...and Ed and Al sure weren't here at the time of this post but arrived between that and this reply's ooc date.]

Hey, there's also all the magic, so even if we won't find them here, maybe there's a way to bring them here from your home world if those flowers bloom there.

Well, there's Originium Arts, which isn't really the same thing, but it's what comes to mind?

I can't do any, though. You need to be infected by radioactive explosive crystals to do it, and it just doesn't seem like it's worth the tradeoff.

Yeah, I don't really know how it works. They crop up a lot after natural disasters, and people who mess with them a lot wind up with rocks growing out of their bodies? Cool powers, too, but it looks like it really hurts.

Nope, Terra. As far as I can tell, I'm the only guy from my world here. The weather's pretty lively there.

So far, so good! I've always been the type to roll with life's punches, so I can get by pretty much anywhere, with a bit of luck.

[Yes, yes, and thrice yes - though 'tis the last that truly catches Alisaie's attention.]

Yes, I have seen flowers of that nature - though not since I found myself here, and even at home they are exceedingly rare. I know of but two places where they bloom, and both are... somewhat difficult to reach.

Are you an alchemist, then? I'm afraid I'm something of a dunce where it comes to alchemy. My brother would understand it better.

[My brother understands most everything better.]
