UN: Earthshaker - Video

[Manic waves at the screen, a massive grin on his face and his quills as messy as ever. Honestly the number of his spikes on his head makes it probably more obvious he's a hedgehog than any of the others present in the city.]

So, everything all good now? No more people passing out in the street and being pulled into the matrix? Okay, cool. I can introduce myself finally.

I'm Manic, resident mechanic and drummer for the Sonic Underground. I haven't been here long, but I've got the gist of the idea and I'm looking to see any other outsiders around. Especially any of you who love music.

We're mostly rock. Hard, soft, and everything in-between. But we also do other stuff if the mood strikes.

Alright then, if my sis is down, maybe you can come listen in on a jam session. Otherwise you're just as likely to walk by on us during a random one out in public.

I read a lot of books, I guess? The library in Amberfall's enormous, I recommend it if you're into that at all.

Can't say I am. I'm more of a hands-on kind of guy. But I'll remember that if I ever do need to do some reading.

I'll probably be mostly window shopping, and seeing how the air currents are for surfing around town. You know, between learning magic and questing, and music.

Oh, are you a spring season? I get a little jealous of them for getting to fly, but summer's fine too.

Opposite. My sis is Spring. I'm Autumn. I just like to cloud surf on my board.

Is that something anyone can do? Could I learn to do it?

[cloud surfing... sounds fun.....]

Sure it is. All we've gotta do is get you a board. I'm even teaching a guy I know how to on mine.

You wanna learn?

Absolutely! It sounds super fun. When can I start?

When are you free?

Fifteen minutes from now.

Then you can start in fifteen minutes. If you're around the starting apartments by then.

[And he is, munching an apple, and with his board under one arm as he waits.]

[He's not hard to find! There aren't too many green hedgehogs hanging around here anyway.]

[-oh that kind of just slipped out, it's probably fine?]

[Handsome? Well that's a first. Not that Manic's big on his looks, but that's definitely a bit of a blush on his cheeks.]

Hey, you made good time. How's it goin'?

Pretty good! Excited to make new friends and learn how to surf clouds.

Well you came to the right hedgehog then. Nice to meet you in person, by the way.

So, sounds like you're not afraid of heights.

I'm not afraid of much! The worst that can happen is falling, right?

[Sure she'd get hurt, even with her EGO suit on, but it's nothing that she hasn't experienced before.]

Pretty much, and that's only a problem if you decide to do some skydiving. So, I figured, I'd take you up so you can get a feel for the board, and then let you actually practice someplace with more grass.

Sounds good! I haven't done much regular surfing before - the City isn't really good for that, unless you want to pick a fight with a whale.

[Do not pick fights with whales.]

Wouldn't dream of it. Whales are cool dudes. Shame about the surfing though. It's almost as fun as cloud surfing.

[He lays the board flat on the air and hops on, extending a hand to her.]

Hang on tight once you step up, but obviously be careful of the quills.

Oh, don't worry, that I've got experience with.

[She climbs up behind him, and easily holds onto him without poking holes in her hands.]
