[The video starts recording with Kaeya clearly at one of the stables, particularly the Sunwaning stables with a beautiful black horse just behind him. She nickered quietly as Kaeya waving to the camera caught her attention, her ears perked and pointed forward in show that she was listening.]

Good morning, my fellow outworlders and natives alike. For those who don't know me, I am Kaeya Alberich. On my home world, I am a cavalry captain. Alas, I have no cavalry to captain, but what I can offer are lessons in horse riding.

[As if on cue, Umbra's head disappeared behind Kaeya only to obviously bump him forward slightly. He looked a bit startled for a split second before looking at her. She looked at him, quite innocently she said so herself. He shook his head and continued.]

I live in Sunwaning, but I am willing to come to you, if need be. I'm aware that - [He back was suddenly head butted again and he stopped, only this time his lips pursed in a very clear effort to not laugh. He shook his head with an amused sigh.] I'm aware that most segments don't use horses, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a useful skill to learn, no?

So - [Head butt. This time, Kaeya couldn't contain the snort. He curled his arm under her long face and pressed his cheek against hers. His voice was soft, but the microphone picked it up.] Stop doing that. Shhh.

So, please let me know if you would be interested. Kids or adults, Umbra here is very friendly as you can see.

And clearly wants to go for a ride.

[Umbra decided now was the time to shove Kaeya's face away, practically take up the whole frame, to sniff at the phone. There was muttered, "Aiyaya...!" before the video ended.]

Oh, well met! I agree it must be a useful skill to have. My school had stables for all manner of mounts, and it seems like this place does as well, so I thought more people would know than not... then again, horses are simply one animal.

There's plenty of things here I wouldn't know how to use. The uh, automobiles, they call it?

Unfortunately, I too don't know how to drive a car. Most of the electives I took at school were of the combat or supernatural variety, and driver's ed in France takes way longer than other countries...

I don't necessarily see it as unfortunate. They don't exist in Teyvat. At least, not in Mondstadt. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it is something Fontaine is currently exploring.

It does seem there's a great deal of difference between realms... At least this place appears to have good public transit. We had a school trip to America once and one had to use an automobile to get anywhere.

Well, yes, but I don't understand why needing to use an automobile to get anywhere rather than public is a bad thing? Is that any different than myself preferring my horse?

[He doesn't know all the differences between vehicles. But he is aware that some are made for only a few passengers at most and others are made for many. Not unlike carriages and caravans.]

There are a number of reasons, but mainly if everybody drove a car, the roads would be far too crowded and nobody would get anywhere in time anyway.

[Kaeya literally has no concept of this, so he's just going to agree here even though he isn't sure what he is agreeing to.]

I don't need lessons, but it's been a while since we've ridden out into the Segments on a quest! We should go again one of these days.

I just simply thought I would offer my services where possible and it would give me more of an excuse to bring out Astra and Umbra. Poor girls don't get nearly as much action as they do at home.

I've got to say, I've been riding Brutus less and less, too, what with the increase in far-flung quests... but I bet he's better off for it.

[Chances are the officers who know primarily ride him don't smoke, or at least not quite as much!]

Does Brutus still work for the police force? If not, he may be useful as a training horse as well.

He's still with the police! They just gave him to officers who do more patrol work than me at this point.

[Him having been "grounded" in the office from October-December after a little PR disaster really didn't help matters!]

"Trouble" is too much said. Harrison just wanted to have me around more at the station, I guess. Maybe he felt lonely without me.

Well, where I am from, they're used everywhere. I have found them fairly useful when traveling in the Segments as well as they can get into places these other vehicles cannot.

I'm sure that they would both appreciate the exercise.

I think any form of exercise she's excited about and riding horseback is something I think many should learn. Besides, I can use Astra like I did when training new recruits while you were away.

I can always do both and having you with me is never a bad idea.

[He says that somewhat archly, though Kaeya would know well enough that he wouldn't mind the idea. Diluc keeps himself busy after all, and Astra probably doesn't get out as often as she could.]
