[There's a bit of jostling as the video feed comes into view, and there's the voice of a girl talking as it points at the sky - obviously somewhere near the city. Finally, Eggman seems to respond:]

Honestly, I'd prefer getting a look around myself before engaging with the others, but if you insist, Sage...

[Finally, the camera shifts down to Eggman - and most notably his fantastic mustache. He seems to shuffle in a seat clearly visible behind him, and those who know Eggman would probably be able to guess he's in the Egg Mobile.]

Er-hem-em--

[He clears his throat.]

Citizens of Ellipsa! I am Dr. Eggman, future conqueror of the world! ... Er, universe! ... Well, when we get out of here, I suppose. [There's a small pause, before he clears his throat again.] Anyway! I'm looking for a proper place to build a base of operations - these apartments are too small to hold all the tools necessary for a proper genius to do his work! [There's another whisper offscreen.] And, well, my daughter wants to introduce herself as well. Go on, Sage.

[He would shift the camera over to Sage (in her top-level) so she could do hers.]

[OOC: This is a joint IC introduction for both Eggman and Sage. Sage will be making a top-level and anyone who wishes to meet her can do so in her top-level. They may interject into each other's threads if the need arises.]

Yes, yes, I'm aware there are probably 'houses' and the like, but a genius needs a base. I suppose I could simply build one myself if the need arose. It would just take some time.

Really all a base needs is living quarters, a few laboratories, experimental facilities, manufacturing facilities... or the space to build all of those.

Huh, that's a lot... I dunno what all has something like that. I mean, other than places like the Research Centre that are already working.

Yes, I suppose it's too much to hope for an abandoned base or a uniquely-sized metal building to just be lying around...

[Not a hint of sarcasm, oddly enough. Almost like he's used to them being available.]

Guess I'd better start looking for an open space to build one.

As for you. What can you tell me about this place that they haven't already told me?

Oh! But there's some abandoned stuff! Don't try the old prison in the Heart Will Go On glacier, though, it's haunted and there's a portal to hell in there so they locked it up.

A portal to hell? [What in the...] I would say it couldn't be that dangerous, but I've seen things that would challenge that notion.

Perhaps one of them will be the key to my base. How far out is it safe to travel?

Hm... up to the barriers if you don't have any weapons or powers to fight monsters and stuff with, and out to the edge of the Darkness if you do. There's some pretty strong monsters out there, but we've been taking care of them! ...Mostly. You probably wanna make sure you're fighting what you can beat.

Though I have heard of offworlders gaining powers. I assume they are based on the 'season' that they wake up in?

Though not all of them! Like Summers also have shapeshifting, like this!
