[There's a bit of jostling as the video feed comes into view, and there's the voice of a girl talking as it points at the sky - obviously somewhere near the city. Finally, Eggman seems to respond:]

Honestly, I'd prefer getting a look around myself before engaging with the others, but if you insist, Sage...

[Finally, the camera shifts down to Eggman - and most notably his fantastic mustache. He seems to shuffle in a seat clearly visible behind him, and those who know Eggman would probably be able to guess he's in the Egg Mobile.]

[He clears his throat.]

Citizens of Ellipsa! I am Dr. Eggman, future conqueror of the world! ... Er, universe! ... Well, when we get out of here, I suppose. [There's a small pause, before he clears his throat again.] Anyway! I'm looking for a proper place to build a base of operations - these apartments are too small to hold all the tools necessary for a proper genius to do his work! [There's another whisper offscreen.] And, well, my daughter wants to introduce herself as well. Go on, Sage.

[He would shift the camera over to Sage (in her top-level) so she could do hers.]

[OOC: This is a joint IC introduction for both Eggman and Sage. Sage will be making a top-level and anyone who wishes to meet her can do so in her top-level. They may interject into each other's threads if the need arises.]

Yes, yes, I'm aware there are probably 'houses' and the like, but a genius needs a base. I suppose I could simply build one myself if the need arose. It would just take some time.

Really all a base needs is living quarters, a few laboratories, experimental facilities, manufacturing facilities... or the space to build all of those.

[(lol so IDW sonic comic canon and games canon are technically the same, they even mentioned a comic character in Frontiers! BUUUUT, they haven't done specifically me a solid and said where Frontiers falls in the timeline, so I'm just gonna wing it and say Sonic hasn't gotten that far yet, YOLO.)

So naturally, Sonic isn't thrilled to see Eggman. More than that though, annoying the absolute piss out of him is one of Sonic's favorite hobbies, and it's something he hasn't been able to do in like, a year? It's been far too long! Cue obnoxious grin, it's go time.]

As far as a more open space, you'll have to do what all of the local geniuses do: build up to it with resources, odd jobs, connections to the criminal underground, and free romm expansions every month. I'm sure that between the two of you, the latter would go extremely quickly.

'Which one', eh? I would guess you were one of Sonic's friends, but from the sounds of it, you've never actually met me. Assuming you are speaking of multiple Eggmen existing... I am the only Eggman from my dimension. Having more would be quite the burden, if my previous encounters with the Eggman from another dimension are any indication.

[He's actually a little surprised someone affiliated with Sonic is actually telling him anything - but best not to look a gift horse in the mouth.]

Hm, yes, I suppose it would be best to take it slow, without the usual connections available to me from home. I don't think Sage will need a ton of room, but whatever she needs, I will provide.

[A few seconds pass, though, and... the frustration subsides. It was those who praised her that he was angry at, not Maria. And.... Maria was a child. And... one that reminded him a bit of Sage. He pulls away from the camera a little, and speaks in a more calculated, calm voice.]
