UN: eggman [Video]

[There's a bit of jostling as the video feed comes into view, and there's the voice of a girl talking as it points at the sky - obviously somewhere near the city. Finally, Eggman seems to respond:]

Honestly, I'd prefer getting a look around myself before engaging with the others, but if you insist, Sage...

[Finally, the camera shifts down to Eggman - and most notably his fantastic mustache. He seems to shuffle in a seat clearly visible behind him, and those who know Eggman would probably be able to guess he's in the Egg Mobile.]

Er-hem-em--

[He clears his throat.]

Citizens of Ellipsa! I am Dr. Eggman, future conqueror of the world! ... Er, universe! ... Well, when we get out of here, I suppose. [There's a small pause, before he clears his throat again.] Anyway! I'm looking for a proper place to build a base of operations - these apartments are too small to hold all the tools necessary for a proper genius to do his work! [There's another whisper offscreen.] And, well, my daughter wants to introduce herself as well. Go on, Sage.

[He would shift the camera over to Sage (in her top-level) so she could do hers.]

[OOC: This is a joint IC introduction for both Eggman and Sage. Sage will be making a top-level and anyone who wishes to meet her can do so in her top-level. They may interject into each other's threads if the need arises.]

[A beat.]

....Well, one day, anyway. I can't exactly send my robots after you when I've arrived with nearly nothing! Surely you already knew that, though - the other arrivals came in similarly, it seems.

Won't tell me about it, huh? That's fine, it's more fun if it's a surprise anyway. That said though... from what I can gather from this weird little interaction, it sounds like you went too far again and needed to ask me to help you clean up after yourself. Sound about right?

[also a beat.]

Wait, father? Did you build yourself a daughter, Eggman? That's kind of adorable!

[Like on one hand he means it, but also it's his duty to dunk on Eggman every chance he gets.]

It's not quite that simple, hedgehog. You could say that we were all trapped in the same situation.

[Not true, Sonic was completely right. But he doesn't have to know that!]

But yes, we had to... create an alliance. [He says the last part extremely grumpily.] But that won't happen again!

I didn't build a daughter. She was created as an AI to assist me and take over the logistics of the empire. She gained enough sentience and knowledge to shape herself, learned the meaning of family, and began calling me 'father'. I eventually began calling her my daughter in turn. And if anyone harms her, they will learn the wrath of a father.

Metal isn't jealous, is he? I can't imagine that he's too thrilled about being replaced as the favorite. For real though, this is a side of you I didn't think existed! Now the question is, are you too busy being the world's best dad to try to take it over? Because that would be nice.

You did hear me, didn't you? About how she was created to take over the systems for the Empire? Her being my daughter doesn't change that. If anything, it means that we will take over the world as family!

[Why else does he keep saying he's the 'real Sonic'? ... Okay that's probably just a quirk of programming.]

Though I have not actually heard anything about it from him. Knowing him, he probably is, and just won't say anything.
