Neither does the little floating eyeball that nuzzles up to his shoulder. He pets it absently. ]

Say, pal. How many of you 'randomly chosen' otherworldly visitors were already heroes in your own worlds? How many of you were ... Less heroic?

I don't mean to be suspicious, you understand: I'm sure they actually do need help here.

But I have some prior experience with kidna--err--this kind of selection process.

[ This is a reassuringly cosmopolitan universe compared to some he's been to. And she's very well manned. For all that he's rusty at social graces, he tries to give as good as he gets. ]

Thank you, I'm sure your Star was lucky to have you. I have to admit, I really did expect almost everyone to have your sort of work experience, but it looks like I was wrong.

Knowledge always helps. No scrap of data is ever wasted. I'm more of the shadowy sort myself, but I'd love to know more about your Warriors of Light.

Well, 'tis a bit of a long story. Probably too long for this, but to try and put it is simple terms, a Warrior of Light is someone who has the capabilities that no normal adventurer has. We have been blessed, so to speak, by the Goddess Hydaelyn.

[It was truly a very long story along with the fact that the Goddess was not actually a Goddess but Laterose just couldn't get into that.]

I've fought creatures large and small, primals with the god like abilities, and even found myself at the ends of the Universe!

I didn't mean to put you out, friend. Higher dimensional antics can't often be simply explained, it's true.

That 'so to speak' sounds truly ominous, but I'm biased. The gods in my world were anything but blessing-prone.

Still. You sound well-qualified to be here. What do you call yourself?

'Tis not so much ominous as it isn't quite accurate, but at the same time, about as accurate as I can describe it. [She gave him a sheepish smile.] As I said. It is a bit of a long, and complicated, story.
