[Russell didn’t use the network much. It was kind of a hassle and talking to strangers wasn’t his idea of a good time. He needed help, though. So here he was.]

I need a job.

I’m 15 now, I guess.
I don’t have many skills and I’m not very strong.
I don’t really like talking to people.

[Wow. Really selling himself here, huh?]

Does anyone have anything that I could do?

[He stares at the screen for a minute or two, then adds.]

[In what was perhaps a surprisingly wholesome video feed coming from someone like Eva, the video begins in one of the spare rooms of her Apartment- one that was filled with numerous cat trees and toys, with plenty of little hideaways and cat beds. No expense had been spared, here!

And the footage begins with her void cat doing zoomies from one light source to another across the different cat-trees, whilst a young Octocat tried to playfully swat at it with its long tentacles.

Meanwhile, a Meowscarada was casually lurking around in the background, summoning flurries of glowing leaves to strike out at some old logs that had been set out for it- and to occasionally tease the other two.

All whilst a couple of small ghost kittens were stretched out for a nap, taking up an impressively large amount of the sofa.

Evidently, one of the spare rooms in her Apartment was now very much the cats' bedroom.

I can drag up some of the monster fish, if someone comes out here and keeps it from thrashing me to death on the way out of the water. That first piranha almost got my face.

[The username is Evangeline's, but the camera doesn't show her: rather, it shows Rinku, on Evangeline's couch, blinking at the phone camera.

Evangeline's voice cuts in.] So it's come to my attention that not everyone here knows Rinku, which honestly a loss for whoever hasn't met her yet. This is Rinku! She is light and positivity and joy in human form and your life will be better for being friends with her.

[Rinku waves and smiles, but then pauses and turns her head to Evangeline.]

Eh? I thought I was gonna tell everyone to be your friend, Neechan.

Nope! I'm hyping you up first, you can't stop me. [The grin is audible in Evangeline's voice.] Notice how sweet and how supportive of her friends Rinku is! She's also a DJ which automatically makes her super cool.

It's a lot of fun! I wanna perform with more people, too! Does anyone wanna do a live or something?

I don't know what a live is but you should do one with her if you're a music person! Also - do you want kisses, should I try to get people to smooch you?

That sounds fun! [Rinku taps her chin.] I wonder if I still have that kissing booth... Do you think that's awkward? I dunno, but you know everything.

You're definitely the only person to think that... But we could do the kissing booth if you wanted? For charity and also for fun.

Eh? But you're smart and you always tell me if something's awkward or weird.

Yeah but - one sec, let me post this first-

[Rinku grabs the phone to quickly add one last message.] Be her friend too, she's my big sister and the coolest person ever and will be nice to your pet!

[Evangeline nabs the phone back and hits send.]

Has anyone else had trouble figuring out what to do with yourself because your life at home didn't really prepare you for this situation?

I'm a soccer player and a gamer. My parents were pretty obsessed with me being an elite athlete... so I guess I'm saying I don't really have many other life skills.

Anyone have an idea of where I should start?

Oh, and it'd be kind of nice to find some friends my age, especially if you play soccer. I'm 16.
