Hello! Some of you might remember me, but in case you don't - my name is Ren Jinguji. I returned during New Years and I'm resuming my work as an idol!

But that's not why I'm making this post, really. I want to propose a game! Something so we can get to know each other better.

This is, two truths, one lie. Write three things about yourself, one of which is a lie. Others will have to guess which one it is. Of course, you can also reply as a video or a voice message, if that's easier.

Is it 1? I believe being a DJ is somewhat distinct from being an idol, no?

Yeah! Even though some of the things we do are idol-ish, like we have theme colours and sometimes the crowds come up with wotagei and stuff. But some people here think I'm an idol for some reason or thought that, so I thought it was a good answer.

That's true! I sing a lot to pump up our music. Live vocals replacing the vocal track is pretty popular where I'm from!

I used to think that being a DJ just meant choosing songs in a pleasing order to play. I didn't know there was so much to it.

It's that, but also mixing them up and taking things out and putting things in -- we make our own songs too! It's really fun. ...Or at least I think it's fun. Sorry it wasn't for you.

I really like monkeys, and I grew up with them, but I think all of nature is my friend! But lions are really cool. That's why I named my chameleon Leon!

Wait, is it the idol thing? You said something about idol before.

Yeah! And it means lion, and also it's in "chameleon" so I thought it made sense.

That's right! I'm not an idol, but we do some things kinda like idols since it's fun. Not everything, though. Photon Maiden are idols even though they're also a DJ unit, and they always seem like they have way too much work to do just to convince their label if they wanna do something.

Yeah, we use turntables and stuff! We play songs and mix them up, plan a set, and move one song into the next. We also change the songs sometimes, like if we take the vocals out and then I sing it instead, or Rei-chan plays the keyboard. Sometimes we even make new songs out of what we've got!

No, it really happened! Except it's kind of a secret back home, but that was that time we saved the world.

Yeah! It's a secret because it kinda involved an old conspiracy and technology that's not supposed to exist. It felt like a movie or an anime! But secrets from home don't matter here anyway, and besides, there were, like, 50 people involved so it's not like a secret with two people or something.

It just kinda turned out that way. I don't think most people would even believe us, or at least nobody thinks they would.

No, 2's real! Even if it does sound fake. What do you mean by false idols, though? Like those missionary guys talk about?

I don't want to keep asking you to explain every concept I don't understand, it hardly seems fair.

Nah, it sounds like a pain! Going pro is one thing, but being manufactured and having to do whatever your label says and whatever sells? Even if it's easier, it'd be way too boring. Plus gachikoi sound a little scary. Oh, they're those people who get really obsessive over their favourite and wanna marry them, sometimes you hear stuff about them getting pretty bad if they even think their oshi's in a relationship or something.

Never had an kind of hero worship or stalker problem, though. But I can see that concern.

Yeah, of course! Ellipsa's a lot of fun. Not to mention there's always something new going on, and it's usually really exciting! The magic and the districts and the Segments and even the monsters! Sometimes.
