Hello! Some of you might remember me, but in case you don't - my name is Ren Jinguji. I returned during New Years and I'm resuming my work as an idol!

[With rewnewed energy, as one might notice from his annoyingly sparkling smile.]

But that's not why I'm making this post, really. I want to propose a game! Something so we can get to know each other better.

This is, two truths, one lie. Write three things about yourself, one of which is a lie. Others will have to guess which one it is. Of course, you can also reply as a video or a voice message, if that's easier.

Older music is my favorite. People sometimes thinks its funny for a young guy like me to like the older things but there's a lot of charm in the classics.

It's a couple thousand years old, actually! It was played by a famous bard where I'm from!

I've ridden a dragon! I'm good friends with one at home. I don't' see any rules against multiple guesses .𖥔 ݁ ˖๋ ࣭ ⭑

My favorite wine is actually something called Dandelion Wine. You made a very good attempt, though!

Oh WOW. Are you actually a bard yourself, then? I wasn't certain. Do you play the older classic songs or make your own, or both?

Being friends with a dragon sounds even better than getting to ride one. That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to leave it up to you!

Oh... I haven't heard of Osmanthus but I have heard of dandelions, so maybe that should have been easier to guess, LOL. Thanks!

I think they're more popular where I'm from than other places.

I do both the classics and make up my own stories. But I am just a fan of all sorts of stories. But riding on a dragon isn't just a story. If you were in my world, I could probably get him to give you a ride, too!

He's the best~ I've heard not a lot of people get a chance to do it so I like to brag a little bit about it.

That's incredible! It sounds like a real accomplishment, I'd love to be able to hear you perform sometime. 🎶

Ohh, flying like that sounds like it could be dangerous -- but I know a few people who would LOVE something like that, LOL!

I believe you, though. Do you make up stories for all the songs you compose or do you sing about true things too? Have you made any songs about your friend? [That sounded like a fun way to brag for someone who was such a passionate bard!]

It's perfectly safe if you're with me! Friend privileges!

I tell a lot of true stories. Even stuff about my friend. Sometimes it's about things that were happened. It's kind of like teaching history. But a lot more fun. Most things are more fun when put to music.

I also like to make stuff up sometimes because it should be entertaining.

Oh, so it's history, but like "based on a true story" sometimes? That kind of thing CAN be fun, and it's also a lot easier to remember things set to music.

Have you made any music about this place?

I mean, it really just is history. Just easier to learn because it's much. I always remember things better with music, too.

I haven't. I should, but I haven't. It's not hit the right inspiration for me. Maybe sometime, though. ]

I think music is one of those things where your heart has to be in it, right? I'd be just as happy to hear songs about your world as ones about this place, anyway.

It is! I always hope that they genuinely help people! History is important, after all.

It does. I think you have to really believe it and love it to do it. The others here seem to like them, too. Probably because it's neat to learn about other places.

It's very true for me, at least. At least one would probably call me a friend, and he definitely likes my music. A few people from home have ridden on his back before, too, though.

It's still super uncommon, but not the weirdest thing to happen at home.

Charming. I've ridden the odd ungulate in my time, but a dragon is a novel idea.

Now I'm just interested in the weirdest things that happened in your homeworld!

Wine's not my vice, and neither is music, these days. Is it 1, though?

Hard to say what the weirdest thing is. It depends on what you're interested in.

Ah, so he's sentient. That does change the dynamic slightly.

I'm like a magpie, I'll take a shine to any scrap of knowledge. It usually ends up interconnected in the end, if not to one problem, then to another.

All the dragons I've ever known were sentient.

We'll start easy, but interesting and unique to my home. People at home, special people, are granted special abilities that are like magic here. When they're granted it, they're given something called a Vision which they are bound to.

I was picturing them like rampaging giant reptiles. Maybe a little uncharitable of me.

A Vision you're bound to, huh? Is that related to fate? Destiny? Something you have to do, or something you have to be? Or both?

[notgrande]

Oh, they do sometimes. Dvalin had a time where he did, but it wasn't his fault that it happened. He's normally a very reasonable dragon.

Having a Vision is not really fate or destiny. They're given out when people really need it. Like when you're in danger. Or when you have a lot of ambition to reach a goal. I've definitely heard people call them a blessing from our Archons - or gods - but it's probably not that simple.

People who have them can be pretty special, though.

Never woke up this morning thinking I'd empathize with an out-of-control dragon. But here we are.

Ahh. I think I get it. Prognostication. Oracles. That sort of line. I'm sure there's some causation-linked ambition and magical acuity, myself. Or maybe it's just a correlation between people who don't quit at any activity they try.

Obvious question, are you one of those special people?

[notgrande]

Persistence has its merits, especially when you're trying to learn something. The magic of this place works like that, too. Just keep learning and you'll get there, if you want to. I can't tell you what to do on that part.

I am. Mine is from the Anemo Archon -- well, I don't think it's from him directly, but something like that. So I have what most people would call wind magic. I don't really consider myself all that special, though. Just fortunate enough to get it when I needed it.

I find power and knowledge for their own sake incredibly enticing, Bardy, there's no need to encourage me there.

Wind magic... That's something. Did you end up in Spring too, or is that not always how it works?

Bardy! I like it. Venti's my name, if that's better. But I don't mind, either way. Go with whatever you feel like.

I did happen to end up in Spring, but that's not always how it works here. I just consider myself lucky that it's something I'm comfortable with.
