Hello! Some of you might remember me, but in case you don't - my name is Ren Jinguji. I returned during New Years and I'm resuming my work as an idol!

[With rewnewed energy, as one might notice from his annoyingly sparkling smile.]

But that's not why I'm making this post, really. I want to propose a game! Something so we can get to know each other better.

Who did that to you? [ Because honestly. That feels like a very unethical move, and Maxwell is not, at this stage in his life, a fan of whoever is in charge of that. ]

[That actually gets Katsuki to think, for a moment. Because obviously he doesn't view himself in that way, but it's not..... entirely wrong to describe him as a child soldier considering everything. But he also doesn't think it's fair to say that, either.

It's definitely drumming up some kind of weird feelings in Katsuki, and he doesn't like it.]

The adults were being killed left and right, so they needed the strongest of us to help. It wasn't anyone's fault I had to fight, nor was it normal for Heroes in training to be on a serious battle field like that.

They don't usually make kids do the fighting, so I don't think it's fair to frame it like that.

All right, I won't. [ Maxwell is many things, some of them obnoxious and self-defeating, but the minute Katsuki mentioned his age, everything else they've talked about was reframed, including the death thing, and he eases off the clutch considerably. These days he doesn't get his kicks bullying teenagers. ]

I'm sure you did your best, given the circumstances. And I'm sorry if I cast even the shadow of doubt on your capabilities or concern, before. I didn't know you. I spoke from ignorance.

[ There, that's about as well as he can apologize. ]

[Okay, wow. Katsuki wasn't expecting an apology in the slightest, let alone a genuine sounding one. Usually when he gets into it with people like this, they argue back and forth until Katsuki has to physically remove himself (or throw his phone if it's online).]

....I guess you aren't as much of an asshole as I thought.
