If this adventure with chain mail has taught me anything, 'tis that many of us here are having our first exposure to the internet, with all its amusements and pitfalls included. Thus, I thought it might be nice to introduce another 'getting to know each other' game that some of us might not know yet. This one won't involve pictures or ratings of attractiveness, not to worry.

This game is called 'two truths and a lie'. The premise is simple. You list three statements about yourself, two true and one false. Ideally they should all be similar levels of unbelievable. Then, other people respond to you to guess which one is the lie. We all learn a little about each other and have a bit of fun.

Oh. Can you hold your breath for longer or shorter, then?

I can hold my breath for twenty minutes. Perhaps longer if I push myself. I require less oxygen than normal humans.

[inspiteful]

[ Huh. He's heard that some pearl divers can hold their breath that long, but that's a bit of a rarity even then. ]

I guess that makes sense, what with the no heartbeat and everything.

[ ...He can't believe he just wrote that. ]

Yes. I surmised that this oddity is due to my unique biology. Saying that, however, I do require air. I cannot hold my breath indefinitely.

So that means you probably aren't undead...

No. I am not undead.

[Even through text, the words bore the same resigned exasperation of someone who said that phrase far too often.]
