If this adventure with chain mail has taught me anything, 'tis that many of us here are having our first exposure to the internet, with all its amusements and pitfalls included. Thus, I thought it might be nice to introduce another 'getting to know each other' game that some of us might not know yet. This one won't involve pictures or ratings of attractiveness, not to worry.

This game is called 'two truths and a lie'. The premise is simple. You list three statements about yourself, two true and one false. Ideally they should all be similar levels of unbelievable. Then, other people respond to you to guess which one is the lie. We all learn a little about each other and have a bit of fun.

[ Nen has been to the library and they have LOOKED THAT UP. Cars. Crazy. They are big, made of metal, and look pretty strong. Definitely what Chipp's soul is made out of. ]

Someone tried to explain it to me, but they're also attached to a star? They got reborn from their planet. It was hard to follow.

[Without any warning (or any explanation from Chipp), his feed pops up on Nen's screen.
It looks like Chipp with a big, blue sky behind him, standing on some sort of big, concrete floor with random glass windows going through it every so often.]

Lucky for you, you don't gotta! But if you want to -

[His metal hand comes up into frame and, as if he's painting with neon, he draws the camera symbol for video right in the air. Glowing lines in the shape of its icon.]

- Hit that button.

[It sticks around for a couple seconds, before fading away.]

[ Well that is dunk as all heck. Excuse Nen while ti wait until all that neon stuff is finished before they even begin to try following his instructions; it'll take a few tries and pokes, but after a moment? Nen pops up on screen!

In a bedroom filled with sunflowers in varying states of dried-out-ness. But also a potted little daffodil off to the side in the background. ]

Did it work? Can you see me?

Sure can!

[Big ol' smile on his screen, though it's followed with a thoughtful pause.]

... You tryin' to dry out those sunflowers on purpose?
Oughtta hang'em upside down or they gonna get floppy from wiltin'.

I thought you were supposed to give water to cut flowers if you wanted them to last longer.

[ Chipp smile... Nen really likes the way his helmet makes all those faces. They're so exaggerated. Animated. It's fun to watch. ]

Yeah, but if you dry'em right, they last forever.

[Another pause, thinking on that-
His pixelated expression scrunches up to match.]

... Well, nah, I guess you could try n' propagate some plants that way. But not sunflowers, pretty sure.

--I can propagate them?? How?!

[ Nen may not have ever sound as Immediately Interested in something as they do now. Puppies? Soft and wiggly. Peanut butter? Lord and saviour. But the ability to propagate flowers?

Tell them everything. ]

Yeah, sorry, Nenett. Pretty sure they don't root like herbs'n stuff do.
Keep an eye on those, though. Might get seeds out of'em.
And I know how to plant seeds.

[Said with a little tilt of his head at the camera, somewhat a gesture of "catch my drift?"
He's offering to help, of course.]

Aaaaanyway, you wanted to see Spin Jockey, right?

[ Nen makes a mental note of that--seeds. Gotta check in with Chipp about that after, because right now-- ]

Aighty, hold tight. If swingin' cameras make ya nauseous, feel free to look away for a sec.

[Because OH, DOES THE CAMERA SWING. Specifically, it swings in a way that looks a bit like it's... floating?
Huh. Yeah. It's totally floating. Away, from the looks of it, so Chipp can be in the shot fully.
Considering there's a bit of purple light glowing around the frame, it's safe to say he's using his magic to keep it aloft.

... It's also made it clear where the hell he is.
He's standing on the side of a building. As if it's the ground. Magnet magic, man.]

You can still see me, Nenett?

[ That angle makes both more sense and not at all as the camera pans back. Nen's eyes widen as seeing him sideways of all things, and for a second they drop their phone just to push their hands onto the table at either side of it and stare!! ]

Yes! I see you! You're sideways...!

[ Nen almost asks if it's "the magic", but then they see the presence of purple and realize that this is just like what he showed them during magic practice. ]

That's so dunk!

[That garners a single wheeze out of him, almost like his own version of a single little "heh" in amusement.
Also manages to sound a bit like an old dog wheezing as it lays down. That's Chipp for you.]

Toldja I was somewhere ya couldn't get to! Been out here checkin' out the city, seein' what all it got to offer me.
Keep freakin' out the locals. It's great!

But, anyway --

[He goes ahead and holds his hands out, palms facing upward (or... sideways. His upward), and stays like that for a moment. It's not long before violet light starts to collect in his hands, and then - with the light scattering apart into flickering pixels like digital confetti - Spin Jockey lays in his hands right where Nenonen can see it.]

This here is Spin Jockey. This is the form my soul takes.

[Spin Jockey's "eye" looks at the phone.]

I could summon it up lots faster, but I thought that'd look cooler.
Whatcha think? I can show ya what all it can do, too.

[ Summoning it that way? Definitely looks cool. Or as Nen would say: Dunk! Which Nen does say, most impressed. ]

Oh, dunk!

[ The way he summoned it, the crackle of his magic, they eye on the jockey that looks just like his. Nen grabs their phone anew and holds it over their head--which really doesn't make it easy to see, so they pull it back in just as fast. ]

What else does it do?? I want to see...!

[ Nen thought souls were supposed to be on the inside of a person, but holy heck does this open up a world of new possibility ]
