If this adventure with chain mail has taught me anything, 'tis that many of us here are having our first exposure to the internet, with all its amusements and pitfalls included. Thus, I thought it might be nice to introduce another 'getting to know each other' game that some of us might not know yet. This one won't involve pictures or ratings of attractiveness, not to worry.

This game is called 'two truths and a lie'. The premise is simple. You list three statements about yourself, two true and one false. Ideally they should all be similar levels of unbelievable. Then, other people respond to you to guess which one is the lie. We all learn a little about each other and have a bit of fun.

The Esteemed Lahabrea. It was... of importance to the matter at hand at the time. Erichthonios handled it admirably, all told.

( so yes: lahabrea showed his sex tape to his son. )

[Hythlodaeus starts, stops, and erases his writing several times before settling on:]

I see. And this matter is, I presume, too sensitive to be told in such a public setting?

[More sensitive than letting everyone know that Lahabrea is a bit of a freak? Maybe! But the Speaker's personal matters aside, Hythlodaeus is awfully curious as to why Lahabrea needed to show anyone such a thing, least of all his son.]

As it currently stands resolved, I see no reason as to withhold information about it. There will be a report filed in due time, of course, but suffice to say that we wished to view the moment Lahabrea decided to tear out a 'corrupted' part of his soul and lock it away in a crystal. He viewed his wife as the origin point of this corruption -- and I cannot fault his logic having viewed the memory myself.

This corrupted part of his soul had recently taken form, you see, and was causing the havoc I was sent to investigate.

( do you ever just refuse to deal with your feelings so much you cut them out of you??? )

He split his soul?

[He thinks back on it. Did he ever notice that Lahabrea's soul was damaged? Well, honestly, he didn't use his soul sight much around the man... though Lahabrea's soul burned brightly and beautifully, it was not a subject of fascination for Hythlodaeus the way, say, Emet-Selch's soul was.]

Come to think of it, did his wife not return to the star prematurely? I think I heard word of it when it first happened, but naught else on the matter emerged and I suppose it was hardly my business to begin with.

[Perhaps he had simply assumed that the darkness in Lahabrea's soul was grief for his wife's passing. He always respected Lahabrea and his creations greatly though, and he wouldn't have pried. It's the same respect that has him pausing before Elidibus can respond.]

I truly think if we are to discuss this, it should be in a more private setting. Perhaps over some tea?
