where would be some good places for them to put an offering bowl to get attention?

I didn't do a lot at first either, but there's easier and safer quests if you're just starting out! Sometimes businesses in town will even do sponsored quests as promotions, it's kinda silly. But for the actual adventuring, I think it's important. And fun, too, you get to see all kinds of stuff.

I have complicated feelings about fighting anything that's just trying to defend itself
even if it is doing harm

Yeah... Even if nature is my friend, it's still sad and painful a lot of the time. Everyone hunts each other to live. It's how it is, but it hurts too, so I dunno. I just do what I can to make sure we don't get hurt.

Some monsters aren't really like animals, either. There's glamour monsters, who want to steal anything beautiful so they might try to take your head or something, or other stuff that gets all Darkness-fied. Sometimes the fighting's with people, too, like corrupted fae or cultists or people like that. But I don't like killing people.

But exploring is fun, and there are some quests where no one has to get hurt at all! Like if you gotta get a Bearry's berry, you just need to be nice to them and trade them some food for it.

in my experience, "monster" is a pretty subjective term

[ ...but maybe she doesn't want to get into that, actually. no, thinking about it, she really doesn't. ]

anyway.
gathering quests do sound pretty harmless.

Huh... I guess that's true. I mean, even "human" means different things to different people here. And there's people who'd say they're monsters, too.

Yeah! Unless they're dangerous, but the dangerous ones get marked. Sometimes something'll attack you when you're trying to get something, like there's these crows that shoot magic at you if you're out in the Autumn Segment trying to get gold because they wanna hoard it.
