I'm dating three people now! Fajra, Barghest, and Chipp. Um, things are going... well? They're going well.

I am happy. They're all really important to me, even if I don't really know what I'm doing yet.

You don't have to know. A lot of the fun is figuring it out together. In my experience.

What turned you around on the concept? [ Was it someone pushy or is that just him ]

An infuriatingly perceptive blue friend of mine was like 'hey, about that not wanting to get attached to people thing, you already love and are attached to your friends anyway' at me and I had like a couple days of denial. Went to Eve asking her to "peer review" my emotions for me with her empathy bracelet. Eventually accepted that yeah, okay, I do love my friends.

Next step was trying to figure out what the hell the difference between romantic and friendship love even is, and honestly I still don't know that? But apparently you don't have to have that figured out to try the dating thing.

That's all very measured and official and sounds like it could have come from one of my textbooks. Not a criticism, by the way. I like textbooks.

For me it was gravity. Undeniable. Also some people who are way too damn pushy and it stuck.

Love textbooks. Love to have objective answers about things.

I think if someone was pushy with me I would freak the hell out, personally.

Textbooks are amazing. I've been catching up on so much that I missed while I was dead, and also trying not to totally suck at the parenting thing so the library it is. Also sometimes I learn things for my partners. I have a whole stack in my room at any given time. Whoever invented the printing press was a true visionary.

If you ever come to my house, it's absolutely full of books. Not all of them textbooks, but plenty are.

Electronics, robotics, physics, psychology, sociology, biology...

Honestly, a lot of this isn't of practical use to me, but it's still really interesting.

Maybe we could trade sometime. A lot of those are practical for me. Two neurodivergent kids and all. And a fair number of my mates too.

Yeah, I know, I'm trying to make up for lost time by being better for them and I suck at hiding it. Don't even say it.

Good. I have plenty of psych and engineering, also food and cooking books that go into the science of it since it helps me understand and ad lib. I could get by on raw food but experimenting is fun.

Ohhh, I should check out those cooking books. I've been working on being able to cook from a recipe - my bibimbap is pretty okay at this point - but I'm definitely not at the point of making alterations yet.

Yep. It's on... one of the terraces. I'm going to try my hand a bento boxes, they seem fun. Choco will want to make a ridiculously cute pie or something. Maybe a cat pie, strawberry, as a joint gig with Wash. And maybe pizza bao for Donnie.
