Apparently, when you start dating someone, you're supposed to make some sort of announcement on the internet so all your friends know? At least that's what I hear. And I, definitely didn't do that! Three times over! So, um, oops?

I'm dating three people now! Fajra, Barghest, and Chipp. Um, things are going... well? They're going well.

[Honestly still not sure what she's doing but she's trying her best!!]

She's already heading out onto the balcony and bouncing a little on her heels once she gets there.

He chuckles and follows her. "All right."

Just be nice to the mango tree that's on one end of it with the fruit perfectly in reach. There's also a rope line that goes off toward an tree house.

Macaque's eyes glow purple and out of the ground comes a huge shadow-Macaque, inky purple in color, with an X over the right eye. His "clothes" resemble strips of fabric.

"That's him. I can adjust the size as it suits me. What do you think?"

She would never be cruel to an innocent mango tree!

Immediately, no hesitation: "He's gorgeous, would smooch one hundred percent."

Yes, size would be a tiny issue, but consider: hot? Hot.

Macaque laughs, and the huge shadow avatar holds out a hand for her.

"Go on, jump up." Free smooches for the enthusiastic girl.

!!! Absolutely delighted, she clambers on up into the avatar's hand.

"I am having the best day today."

The avatar brings her up to his face. Smooch away.

"Announcing your dating life to the network is your best day?" Couldn't be him.

In between smooching the avatar's face many times:

"Well no, that part's embarrassing, but I got delicious food for free, I get to learn shadow magic, and I can smooch a giant sexy avatar."

The avatar leans in to the kisses because why not. It gives her a little nuzzle with its big monkey nose.

"Things could definitely be worse in your life. Let me know if you ever want to screw around with it, I'm up for that." Why not, really.

"I absolutely do!"

Best! Day! Ever! She could not physically be more delighted than this.

He laughs. Her enthusiasm is super cute.

"Whenever, then. My room is big enough for a slightly smaller version." He's not sure about the logistics but she has experience.

"I have plans for tonight, so maybe not right now, ideally I won't be able to walk afterwards."

Tragedy. She will have to bang the giant shadow monkey avatar some other time.

"If I learn to make an avatar, will it be this big? Probably not?"

...She is definitely picturing Choco with a gigantic shadow pigeon now.

"That sounds fun. Miyuni did that to me during her rut. I was stuck in my nest for four days." Ah, fond memories. A little wistful now, but still fond.

"They usually start about you-size. Choco cheated because of a special mystic connection, so hers is huge now too. But yours will grow in time. It can be whatever you like, but something that you have an affinity for works, as long as it's not based on another person. That's why hers is a pigeon."

"Ohhh, I see. I'll have to think about what I want... although that's getting way ahead of myself."

Also, still more kisses and nuzzling up to the avatar.

It will nuzzle her back and give her a kiss on her head. Good human.

"If you catch yourself thinking about it, it can't hurt. Goals are good."

"Goals! I'm going to have a cool avatar and portals someday and it's going to be great!"

"I approve of those goals." Obviously.

"Shadows will probably be helpful at the research center too." If you're creative enough they can be used for nearly everything.

He idly picks a mango and peels it with his claws.

"If there's any other magic that you see me do that you want to learn, just say so. I know at least a little bit of everything except healing magic."

“Can I learn to make clones of myself? Your clones are so cool.”

She doesn’t know why she wouldn’t be able to, but it could be a monkey thing.

"My clones are a specific kind of magic combined with the shadow magic. So short answer: yes. Longer answer: yes, but it'll take a while."

[abnormalizes]

“Alright, that’s fair. Gotta work up to the really complicated stuff.”

She will absolutely use clones of herself for what you would expect her to use them for, but she can be patient about it.

"That is usually the way. It took me about two years to make my first clone, but I didn't have anyone to show me how. I did also practice constantly. I spent the first good while of my life pretty much alone so I didn't have anything else to do."

“Okay, well, I plan to do other stuff with my life besides just this for the next couple years, so let’s mark that as a long, long-term goal.”

A shame, but you have to make trade offs for having a life.

“I do want to give you payback once I learn it, though.”

"I figured, given your announcement and considering how much of my time my partners take up."

"Payback? Like what?" He can't really think of anything he needs.

“Well, you’ve broken my records, so I figure I could make a go at yours? It’ll be challenging, but it helps to have concrete goals to work towards.”

How else would she properly pay him back for earlier?

He laughs. "You know that my records were made by immortals, right? Aren't you an ambitious one."

“I’ve never been scared by a challenge! And even if I don’t succeed, the attempts should be pretty fun.”

She’ll never know if she can outsex an immortal until she tries.
