Izuku sits cross-legged on the bed in his bedroom of his newly provided apartment that he has yet to decorate or anything to personalize the space. He looks a little sheepish as he checks if it seems to be working. He's used to something similar, having this sort of technology back home, at least.]

Um. Hi? I'm Midoriya. That is, uh, Midoriya Izuku. I guess a lot of you already kind of know of me from Kacchan earlier...

[He's sorry. Really. It isn't like he asked Bakugo to go off like that.]

I was just trying to get my bearings, I guess. I heard there's school, or at least classes, here. To learn about our new abilities? I think I'd like that. I want to learn to use mine. To at least learn how to control it. If not to help out with it, and my Quirk. Plus, I want to look into prosthetics to help Kacchan. Maybe learn more about music....? I'm sure there's probably a library or something I can check! And I want to be useful and help out, maybe figure out a part-time job?

[......Yeah. That talk that he had with Bakugo about not overdoing it. Izuku might already be wanting to do more than he might realistically be able to manage. Because he's a Nerd and actually wants to Learn about this place and the abilities, and wants to help out as much as he can. This kid is just not used to the idea of not keeping busy, not being useful. Still in that habit of feeling like he has to prove himself.]

Do either of them wake up easily on their own or is it one of those trapped until someone finds a way to let them out stories?

uh. no. they had to be woken up by someone else. their prince. it's been a while since i read those fairytales but i do remember that much.

... Maybe I could make a case with the story books for being the prince, though it sounds a little annoying.

maybe? i don't know how it would work. this is just what i am being told about some of the stories or something. people being kind of pulled into them like that.

I'm really just hoping that it isn't a recurring event. Libraries are too useful to have end up being story-war zones.

The Seasonal abilities, yes. If you visit the guilds you may be able to convince members to bring books out for you about those too, since they're run by the one local who has the same powers that we end up inheriting here.

guilds. okay! sure, i can ask them. i just figure if i learn as much as i can, at least that should help me learn how to control it? i kinda had issues with figuring my limits back home, so. it'd probably be best if i try not to have a repeat.

( Annie, who had decided to worry slightly less in the direction of three teenagers who are not from her world's particular problematic horror-show, again finds herself pulling a face at her "phone." At least he's looking for better ways. She has to give credit to him for that much. )

Which season are you again?

( Considering her ... friends group, likely someone can also be a personal reference. Those tend to be helpful, she finds, or at least people who push themselves to find limits can benefit from someone recognizing the pushing? )

spring. which looks like um, wind? air? and healing or something, i think, from all the information we were given when we got here?

[At least that seems less likely to potentially hurt himself with? He could probably figure using the wind to enhance his abilities like Black Whip.]

Wind, yes. Healing is one of them too, but there are others. I'd recommend reaching out to Mikasa Ackerman or... even Frieda Reiss, to ask some questions about Spring. Both are in the Spring guild from what I know, but also have been here for a while. Mikasa for over two years. She's not the chattiest person, and she tends to forget not everyone's built like a beast, but she's efficient and unlikely to have ignored what Spring's offered.

Frieda is a vampire so be forewarned she'll be dealing with the same sets of issues that Bakugo does.

The guild does have more information on the powers related to its season, since they're headed by the only local with the same power-set. It's also got rundowns on more than you may want to know for Ellipsia and what issues were here historically as well as in present times since Outsiders began arriving.

ackerman-san and reiss-san? okay. er, built like a beast? i mean. i do okay, i guess? with sparring if that sort of thing is what you mean?

i don't mind about her being a vampire. just so long as she's handling it okay.

You'll understand if you spar with her. Though if you want to spar across seasons or for hand-to-hand experience, I'm the better partner.

( Learning from Mikasa was more learning in spite of Mikasa. At least when it comes to fighting, when it's so instinctual to the other young woman. )

She managed swim lessons at night without sinking her teeth into my neck, so she seems to be doing better than the ones lured out into the forests across the river.

i don't mind. i've been sparring and training with my classmates back home and everyone has unique quirks. so i'm used to sparring against others with different abilities.

ah? that's progress, then! that's good!

Then she'll be good for your flexibility. Don't feel bad if she can outcompete what you'd expect. It's literally how she is.

( and here she is, basically complimenting Mikasa, but in this it's simply sincere and factual. navigating other things... is not Mikasa's strength. fighting? is, even if it's not necessarily where Mikasa's heart is at. possibly. )

Bakugo's been doing well on that count? Does he still not have a parasol for himself?

i wouldn't want to hurt her. but i don't mind sparring if it helps keep us from getting rusty. even here, with these quests, we might still need to step up, right?

yeah. he had one at the beach when i first met up with him here? unless something happened to it since then, he has a parasol. and i don't mind helping him out if he needs.

Then consider it a good opportunity to work on strength regulation. Is that part of your 'hero' abilities? And yes, everyone participating does need to step up for the quests or larger expeditions. People die out there. They end up reborn in the flower fields. Aiming for that is beyond stupid.

Good. Whatever the change makes more difficult isn't reason enough not to keep trying to live as he or the rest of you want to live while you're here.

strength regulation. ah, yes. i guess it is. i mean. especially for me. i've had to adjust to my quirk over the last year or so. the rest of my classmates have had years of practice controlling theirs already. wait, reborn?

it doesn't have to change all that much. he's still kacchan.

Your quirk came in late? And yes, reborn. When people die here they're reborn in the flower field in the segment of their season.

... Yeah. Still don't know what experiences can do to change a person, but they're not... less of themselves, for whatever they experience. Better or worse, maybe, but not less.

i only got mine last year. so i've been playing catch-up a lot. but ah, there's...probably consequences still? right? i mean. for dying...?

yeah. i know a lot has happened here, for kacchan, but. he's still not all that different in the end.

( More of a picture emerging in the details: Bakugo worried about bullying, a world where most people had quirks, Izuku a late bloomer, and right into puberty. Stacked factors, and then the fact the "heroes" of his age group are being put on the front lines before they should be.

Mitigating circumstances may be whatever they are, but this is still using the young to address the big, adult problems. )

Do you think dying and remembering what that felt like isn't enough of a consequence?

( Not as rhetorical as it sounds. Some of the injuries she's sustained over the years were fatal, except for Titan shifter biology making sure she just couldn't die. )

It's good when you can still recognise each other as the people you've known.

[Izuku isn't as sure on how much or what Bakugo and Todoroki might have already mentioned. He's just answering questions as best he can and trying to help out. It isn't like he has necessarily really had the chance to consider the implications of what it might sound like regarding everything back home.]

i don't know. it just. seems like something there would be a catch for? people don't just come back from being dead, back home.

but yeah. i know things are a little different here, him being here and going through all this, me not remembering as much of what happened back home, but. kacchan is kacchan.

They don't where I'm from either. Except some of the people here, in this place, are dead back in my home. Death is a variable rather than an ending here.

Oh, so you have differences in timelines too. There's a number of people from my world that I'm familiar with... most from very different times from each other. Some have even been to other worlds before this one, and after our home world. They're still them.
