[ The Jayce that appears on the video looks frustrated and flustered. He also looks like he's aged a little bit since everyone has seen him. There's also four finger-print shaped markers crowning his forehead. They look like they're starting to fade. He has the look of a man who is trying to keep it together, but is barely holding on. He lets out a shaky breath before he speaks again. ]
I thought — I should be.
[ His mind is spinning. ]
I forgot this place ignores death. I should be dead. I was good with that, too.
[ There's a laugh that does not come from a place of amusement. ]
No rest for me, then. [ A moment of hesitation and then - ] That's not why I'm here. Has anyone seen Viktor? I haven't seen him since I've arrived. But I have a feeling he's here.
[ His eyes seem to drift away. ]
I don't know what he'll look like. It might be different. Bigger, more - metal than he was before. [ He looks uncomfortable with this. ]
But it's him. Don't be alarmed. Just... send him home. Please.

What-- [Happened..?]
I haven't seen Viktor, is he..? Are you all right?

[ pause ]
Been better. But we were together before I got brought back here. It would be weird if he wasn't here, right?
no subject
[A small grimace.]
But you don't look to be in any fit state to go searching for him in any case. Where are you?

[ ...He sighs. ]
I'm in our lab. I — don't remember if you've been here. Forgive me. It's in Nightwake. It's called Hexlab.

[ It's fine. He could, at the least, use a hand and company. He'll make note to go unlock the door so she can come in. Normally, there's a spot there that he keeps open to the public, nothing more than a place to meet with people or talk about their work. A place to display some pictures of their pieces. It's quiet compared to beyond that to the lab itself where all the noise and clutter is. ]
Door will be open.

[She makes her way over there as quickly as she can and despite the door being open as he said, doesn't push her way in making a lot of noise. Rather, she pushes it open carefully and peeks around it.]
Jayce..?

... well she was going to reply with a video or something but... then she has a breakdown somewhere between her endless amounts of thank yous to how this place ignores death (and to this post being more proof about that) and especially at his words to send him home please.
Why ever would she have a total breakdown from those things, who knows but now she is once again crying her eyes and heart and soul and everything else out somewhere... so she'll go with text, he is of course free to reply with whatever format he wants to use.]
I don't know you, either of you, but I hope you'll find him soon!♥️
oh, she's so sweet.
Oh - thank you. I hope he's here because if he's not he's gone for good.
[ And he doesn't want to be here if that's the case. ]
She may be one of the sweetest characters ever... or well no may bes about it, she absolutely is
Ohh. Well then I'm so sorry that all of that happened to both of you. But then I also hope even so much more, that you'll find each other here again and that you both continue staying here together.
Thank you so much for even more proof of how this place works.

You might also be interested to know that I didn't remember this place when I was home. And also...it doesn't seem like it's been all that long since I was here last. But at home it was several months.

Makes sense considering anyone from our home can be far away from our future too and then those things have already happened to them... I guess it would be weird to remember everything from here, especially if things have changed a lot during our time here compared to how they're back there.
That's really great to know too, thank you again.
[Too bad she won't have that much time back home with him... All the more reasons to make the most of their time here together all the time.]

I'm sorry if that's not better news, but I think it's better to be equipped for it.

[What in the world happened to him? It wasn't so long ago that she encountered his child self, and this Jayce looks like he's gone through far more than he has any right to in the few weeks that have passed since then!]
Were you called home? How much time has passed for you?
[Regarding his worry for Victor, she catches on the formulation of "I haven't seen him since I arrived".]
Victor and you arrived back here together? From the same point in time?
[What about the Victor who was already/still here, she wonders... unless he was called back home alongside Jayce, but what are the chances of that? Then again, stranger things have happened!]
no subject
[ It is nice to see her face. ]
Hm. Seven months or so at home.
[ He realizes he kind of looks bad for that amount of time. It's not even all that long... technically. ]
We did. [ As far as he can tell. The disappearance also makes more sense knowing that he returned home then came back at the same time Jayce did. The timeline makes sense to him. ]
We died so we came here.
no subject
[She hardly knows what more to say. For them both to have died, and for Jayce to have been so accepting of his own death, that pains her. He's such a kind and bright person, he shouldn't feel like it's fine that he died! Then again, she accepted her shortened life span when she volunteered to inherit the Founding Titan, thinking she'd become a hero who'd use her power to free her people. What did Jayce and Victor die for?]
I'm incerdibly glad that you came back, here, though! That you can live on here... what happened to Victor? Does he need medical treatment?
[Jayce's description sounded like he was turned into a cyborg or something along those lines! Frieda has seen that happen in movies, and she's pretty sure that there are some otherworlders who would technically qualify as such!]
no subject
[ He's accepting the trade. It was so worth it to him. His life was so worth the many lives they saved when they ended everything at home. But he had been ready for that end. Accepting. ]
He was turned into something... else at home. [ By him, he omits. Because he just doesn't want to go down that path right now anyway. After all, the Viktor Jayce made and this one are...not the same, he thinks. ]
But medically, he should be fine.
[ Very much so. ]
He's tall, metallic. I swear I saw him when I got back here, but I haven't seen him since. Maybe I imagined him.
[ He's doing a lot of that now, too. ]
no subject
Can I meet you? We can look for him together, and...
[She hesitates for a moment, not wanting to pressure him, but then completes the sentence:]
And if you want, you can tell me what you died for.
[Painful as dying is, dying without regrets is a beautiful thing. It's something she wishes she could hope for.]
no subject
[ He's not shy about his own death. He's not shy about why he died. He's a little ashamed about the events that led to it. And he has no intention of burdening her with all of it. But she's seen what Hextech can do through he Gauntlets, so she's no stranger to that powerful magic. ]
And we can talk.
