Does anyone have advice for if your Pokemon hates everyone that isn't you or your other Pokemon and is way overly protective of you? I've tried talking to Frills about it, but he's stubborn. He bit Porty. He was mean to Mecchan.
[An agitated bubbling noise in the background.]
I do not have no standards, you just hate people. -Anyway, any help with this would be great, thank you.

I don't know why he's like that... [sniff] Why does he think you have no standards? It's okay, Mecchan, you're okay!

Frills-chan, you won't even be nice to your cousins? And besides! What's wrong with letting people in if they're cute?

How often does Frills have a chance to interact with other Pokemon? And how often do you train and battle with him?
no subject
I have a Sinistea at home who he gets along with fine, and my sister has a Sobble and a Zubat who come over all the time who he does not like. We train... about once a week?
no subject
[He thinks for a moment. Given her description, it still could be either problem.]
I have a couple of suggestions, if you're down to try them. First, for specifically your sister's Pokemon, I think controlled play, battles, or other such exercise may be your best bet. Pokemon often battle in the wild as a way to get to know each other and release pent up energy and power. However, if you and your sister would rather not battle with them, coming up with active games that involve all of them, including your Sinistea, and allow them to make use of their powers could be an alternative.
I would also consider either increasing your number of training sessions, or find other enrichment activities through out the week. Only having one session a week to go all out may not be enough for him.
Finally, I would suggest taking him to meet other folks' Pokemon from time to time. If he gets along with a Pokemon he lives with, but no one else's, it could be that he doesn't know how to react to other Pokemon in a healthy manner. And the only solution for that is experience.

Also totally gonna show my ignorance and ask... What're Pokemon?
no subject
Pokémon are like animals, but smarter, and usually with elemental powers?
no subject
Hunh... That sounds both really cool and really dangerous..? My first instinct was 'having a moose in your back yard is bad enough... now imagine the moose can make fireballs!'.

No, Frills, taking your good mood from you does not count and you know it.

An animal's instincts are usually correct.

If it's food-motivated, positive reinforcement is an option. Treats for good behavior.

'Sides - he's metal! Not too easy to bite, no.
[...
Yeah, he's literally saying "My Pokemon is loud and energetic and annoying and I think he'd make Frills appreciate how calm and friendly everyone else is."
It's desensitization therapy! Probably!]
no subject
It probably won't hurt to try? He could stand to get use to other Pokemon and non-Pokemon, if you don't mind-

...In the past there were certainly humans that I petrified before they could reveal their intentions.

-I mean, that makes sense, but these are people I know. Shouldn't he be able to trust my judgment that they're not here to hurt us?
