Hey, everyone! I just wanna take some time out to mention something important:

[And she hops back to show off a crude banner in her home’s kitchen]

Woo! Yeah, this will be my… [She counts on her fingers] …twenty first?! Wow, I’m old.

But, you don’t need to get me anything! I just wanted to say this since everyone’s more focused on Halloween! And I’m sure people would get angry if I hijack it.

[And Ruby lets out a small sigh out of relief. Still not ready yet.

She does go and open the box.]

[Inside is, indeed, a ring. It's made of something resembling silver, and a band of crystal shaped to appear like thorned vines goes around it. A very familiar type of crystal, in fact.]

It took some time to find something suitable, but I think you'll be satisfied with the crystal I chose.

[Ruby pulls out the ring and looks it over a bit.]

It’s from the caves we found, isn’t it?

Exactly. Like most of the crystals there, it's pressure activated. Squeeze it, and it and everything it's touching will turn intangible for five seconds. In this case, that would mean you and the ring itself.

Oh, wow…!

[And Ruby slips the ring on her finger, giving it a squeeze. She can feel the magic and steps back, walking through the table behind her.]

That is so cool!

I had a feeling you would do that. I should have explained the drawback first. It's only what the crystal's touching that turns intangible. Look down.

[And Ruby looks down to see that her clothes are down in a pile. Not only had she walked through the table, she caused her clothes to fall off of her, leaving Ruby naked.]

Woah! Ahaha! It’s a good thing we’re indoors! Oops…!

You've never seemed to have issues working past this sort of thing before, so I figured that it was an acceptable design flaw for something so useful.

I... actually wasn't thinking that at all until now. I just figured that you were the sort that's willing to accept temporary discomfort for the sake of a tactical advantage.

And… that’s what I meant. I guess I still have a poor choice of words. But, yes, I don’t mind discomfort if it means gaining an advantage.

Well, that aside, I do hope it serves you well. I've noticed that you have trouble concentrating enough to use your Semblance when trapped, so this is a low effort alternative.

Of course. I have seen far too many people be controlled by vices they were fully aware they had to let myself become one. If I realize I have a weakness, I work to eliminate it.
