I'll make this brief.

I'm asking those from other worlds to share any skills you believe would be beneficial in exploration and threat mitigation.

It seems that exploring the Seasonal Segments and discovering the mysteries behind their threats is key to facilitating the return to our worlds. For this reason, it's imperative that we assemble exploration groups of diverse skill sets. Which is the point behind this post.

Also to seek someone who might be able to build a database for storing this information and sorting it to help people form effective groups.

Know this, I'm not going to demand people share if they do not wish to. If you feel confident you can form your own group, that's your choice.

Aside from that, I suppose this is where I seek those who don't mind touching a large predator animal.

[ A handsome wolf who can't talk. Unless you have some sort of animalspeech/telepathy. So he'll just be giving his best canine equivalent of a shrug. As well as a quick bark to acknowledge her presence. ]

[Nope, neither of those. Most of the supernatural entities she knows can talk.]

Can I pet your head?

[ Sadly, shapeshifting cannot effect a wolf's vocal chords. But he does nod for her and lean closer, doing things as perfunctorily as he promised. ]

[Say what you will about Evangeline: she gives very good pets. Ear scritches are included, and it's definitely not the first time she's pet a wolf.]

[ Yes and as standoffish as he is, he can't help enjoying a good pet, finding himself leaning heavily into it and half-closing his eyes ]

You look like you're enjoying yourself. [She's good at reading body language, too.]

[ Lucky for him, he couldn't comment if he wanted to. But a content rumble does reverberate in his throat. Whether he wants it to or not. It's just been so long since he allowed himself this kind of contact. ]

When you want me to stop, just give me a pat, alright? I know I come on strong but I do actually try not to make people too uncomfortable.

[Wolves included.]

[ He'll just move.

When he feels like it. Which... he does not. Just yet. And mostly responds to her with a faint grumble. Stop talking and just let him enjoy this without thinking about it. ]

[She's a talker, sorry. But she'll take the grumble as intended and fall quiet for a bit, only humming contentedly as she pets him.]

[ That might even draw out a light inadvertent tail thump. The humming is oddly soothing and easy to get lost in. ]

Cute...

[Wait, she didn't mean to say that out loud.]

[ One violet eye pops fully open and he gives a loud snort. ]

I'm aware I have weird tastes, but I stand by that. You're cute.

[ He closes his eyes again with a low huff. What an odd thing to call a giant wolf. But it's already quite obvious that Evangeline is an odd sort. Perhaps it's not such a bad thing. ]

[Heehee. Evangeline gives him more scritches.]

We'll have to do this again sometime, to keep you from turning into stone. But hopefully that doesn't sound so bad now.

[ He leans into the touch even more and gives a rumble that could be agreement or just another of his contented sounds. This is certainly less objectionable than having to hold hands or ask for hugs from random strangers. ]

Great, glad my skill at petting has won you over.

[ He's just going to thwap her pointedly with his tail. Because he sucks at words even without his wolf form. ]

[Giggling. Sorry, she can't help it.]

No? Should I say it was my sparkling personality instead?

[ He gives the loudest most drawn-out woofy groan possible. ]

[abnormalizes]

[More giggling and more scritching.]

Not sorry.

[ Eventually (after far longer than he expects), he will gather himself back to his paws and give himself a fully refreshed shake. Before blinking in surprise at how completely recharged he feels, as if he just rested for days or had an especially fulfilling meal. ]

How are you feeling?

[Evangeline hasn't run low on touch energy herself, but she knows that it's a big relief to get topped up again when you're low on it.]

[ He goes in for a loooong stretch and just nods in response. At least now he has a means to avoid reaching this point again. And he doesn't have to compromise too much of himself to achieve it. ]
