How would you stop someone who is living their life solely for the sake of revenge?

honestly, i'd probably call them a moron and tell them straight up that i WOULD stop them if they do anything really stupid. even if we weren't dating anymore, it'd be really awful to hear that my ex was doing some stupid self-destructive crap like that?

Revenge might be the only thing they are holding onto. If a new purpose cannot be obtained, then you are asking them to give up everthing.

They might believe that it's the only motivating thing.

But there is more to their life than that. It's something that they need to rediscover for themselves, so that they're not throwing what's precious away through revenge.

If it is something that they need to discover for themselves... Then there is nothing you can truly do, correct?

Just because they need to discord it for themselves doesn't mean I can't give them a push in the right direction.

I don't think they even know how to do anything besides the path they've been on for so long... but they're not alone. They'll have help. Not just from me.

It's to avenge someone they've lost. That they've cared about. I'm not saying that is necessarily the bad thing here, though.
