I'm Reiner Braun. I'm looking for a few friends of mine, and it seems like this is the easiest way to get the word out.

One of them is a tall guy—taller than me—with dark hair and green eyes. He probably looks nervous, like he wants to be anywhere but here. The other is a shorter girl, blond hair and blue eyes, who looks like she could kick your ass. She can, too, so maybe don't test her patience.

[ He pauses for a second. ]

I guess I'm also looking for anyone else who recognizes me. Better to get any reunions out of the way now, right?

Anyway, if you see anyone matching those descriptions, I'd appreciate it if you let me know. Or if you just wanna chat. I'm pretty new here, and it'd be nice to meet some friendly faces.

Nah, this guy is taller. He's about… Let's see.

[ He stands, stepping beside a doorframe in his starter apartment, giving a sense of his height. Then he holds a hand a few inches above his head, right around the six-foot-four mark. ]

Right around here. He doesn't slouch, but he probably looks like he wants to fade into the background of wherever he is. Real soft-spoken, you know?

It's all right. I know what you mean about not meeting people taller than you very often. But at least it makes it easy for friends to spot you in a crowd, right?

I haven't seen my friend here, but he has purple hair so it's pretty rare. He's six foot, and seventeen like me, so if you see him you gotta message me too.

No, I'm not looking for Eren. My friend is a couple of inches taller than him. They're more-or-less polar opposites in terms of personality, too. My friend is one of those quiet, reserved types, you know? He comes across as pretty shy.

Mortals don't tend to be very good at reading me, in truth. That said, I'm not as nervous now as I once was.

The tall guy's name's Bertolt, and the short girl's name is Annie. They might be going by something else, though. It's hard to say.

[ The three of them know how to maneuver undercover, but none of them have experienced a situation quite like this. Hence Reiner's decision to introduce himself openly. Better that than letting one of his former comrades do the honors. ]

I've gotta admit, I'm not sure what you mean by "mortals."

And uh. Hmmm. By "mortals" here I generally refer to non-fae people. Humanoids like beastmen or merfolk or humans themselves. They often find me frightening or think I am angry, actually.

[ There is a moment—just a moment—when Reiner stares at the video, evidently bewildered by what he sees. But the expression fades quickly, lingering only as a faint sheen of curiosity.

He's never seen an Omnic before. And he can't help but draw similarities between the face he sees and what he knows he looks like as the Armored. ]

You know what? That sounds like it would be wonderful. I haven't had a wide selection of food for the past few years; I'd love to try something new.

[There was that little flicker of 'eyes' brightening, but just enough to sort of help make that warm 'smile' clearer, given the metal faceplate could make it a little difficult to

I've come across a lot of little places in Nightwake itself, and some in Amberfall. The Gatcha Diner is really popular in Nightwake, but it's a gamble of what you get. [Not that she ate herself, but it didn't hurt to get a feel of places.] There is also some cozy places that are a little hole-in-the-wall that have actual menus, too.

Those have some nice music in the background. If you'd rather have a walk that try to figure out directions I'm hanging around the assigned apartments still before heading out for a walk about.

I have a feeling that if I asked for directions, I'd still wind up a little lost. The scenery here is like nothing I've ever encountered before.
