How do I get my friends to not be upset when I talk about life at home?

It's not like they can do anything about it or like bad things are happening here now, so I mostly just feel bad for making them feel bad and making the conversation really awkward.

Is this a normal part of having friends? It sucks and I would like to opt out, please.

What about like, making an agreement with em?

If you say something about your world, they're allowed to say 'wow that's fucked up!' once and only once?

And then like, move on the conversation. Not linger on it.

Eat some ramen and focus on that.

[ Wait that might just be him and Kotone-- ]

Heey, us 'fake it till you make it' types gotta stick together somehow, right?

Glad to help though. I'll keep that in mind next time you bring shit up too.

Ahahaaaaa... yeaaaah.

[ A pause. ]

I am a lil' embarrassed about that reaction, if anything because I have seen some weird shit. Shadowy goop monsters, end of the world gods, People turning into coffins in the hidden hour between one day and the next.

...You know, the usual teenage bullshit, haha.
