Traveling from season to season in the blink of an eye or even over a few days can be hard on the body. If you find yourself feeling under the weather, I can help. I am currently employed at a clinic that features healing techniques I learned on my Master's mountain.

[He rubs his mare's neck and urges her back into a trot.]

It's located in Frostreign and it is called Shan Healing. Shan is the word for Mountain in my language. I may have given them the idea.

[ Kexing doesn't require anyone to be all that learned! He just gets bored. Then pounces his husband and all is well.

The fan vanishes and he bows his head in reply, smile brightening. ]

Where I am from, my family is from Healer's Valley. My knowledge pales to what my parents once knew, though I know enough to get by.

Yes. My A-Xu arrived around the same time I did. A few weeks ago now, I suppose. We have not kept close track of the time.

Oh that isn't far at all! [Xingchen gently nudges the mare into changing directions, encouraging her with soft praises. She wiggles her ears and they are on their way!]

Oh no, we have all we need. We haven't needed to eat in years, except for snow and ice, of which both are plentiful where we are!

Poor lady. I do know some herbs that are safe for animals and I can offer healing if she is hurt.

She's not injured from the yetis but I don't want her getting sick.

[Hijikata hasn't seen Xingchen in a while - no wonder, given that he settled in with his friends (yeah, he's out of the loop about those relationship statuses...) and surely had a lot to catch up on with them (and, to be fair, Hijikata's own life has sort of been blowing up). So this news about his occupation puts a smile on his face. It seems that Xingchen has truly settled in in Nightwake City.]

Congratulations! Seems like you found just the right place... and your employer found just the right healer.

[If they named the clinic as per Xingchen's suggestion he must have made quite the impression - and that's not hard to imagine, graceful and kind as he is.]

Are you a mounted patrol, then? Or do you work at the clinic itself?

Hijikata! [Guess who is happy to see you? He tries to think the best about his friends - surely they are doing well? - but hearing from them is always preferable.] I hope I can fulfill his expectations. We are focused on aiding those who want less traditional methods of healing.

Ah no. This is the best way to travel I've found. I don't really like the...cars. [A cute furry horse however is just fine~]

[Hijikata remembers Xingchen's aversion to cars. Ultimately nothing can beat a good reliable horse for some people (they can, after all, carry their riders even far into the Segments where no roads lead)!]

[That's the understatement of the year, but he's not going to dump the shitshow that has been the turn of the month for him on Xingchen! If hasn't heard of it, all the better.]

Are you still happy living in the cold? Have the other people from your world been able to acclimatise well by now?

[To Ellipsa as a whole, he means. It's cute to imagine how Xingchen may have explained the kitchen appliances and all else to them like Hijikata did for him soon after their arrival here.]

I was raised on a mountain, so this weather doesn't bother me in the least! I visit Spring now and then to enjoy the blossoms.

[As for the others...] Zichen seems suited for Winter and Xue Yang... He seems happy wherever Zichen and I are located. I do have to make sure he doesn't get too cold.

[Talking to Xingchen is always healing in and on its own. He always has such kind words for Hijikata! It makes him happy to hear that his friends have settled in well too. He may have felt petty animosity towards Xue Yang based on his few encounters with him back on Prismatica, but the man is clearly important to Xingchen - and besides is it really fair to judge someone based on another timeline's version of them?]

So the others are both winter power holders? It's a pity none of you is summer-aligned, then that one could always warm the others up!

[He would know! But it does seem like Xingchen and Zichen flourish in the cold, like winter flowers, and if they manage to keep Xue Yang warm too it all seems to work out.]

How do your healing methods from home work compared to your spring healing power?

[Hijikata is a kind man! Well, to Xingchen, at least. As for Xue Yang... That man will always be a complicated topic, but Xingchen is certain he is better off with him - and watched - than on his own. Besides, he enjoys his company when he is being sweet and helpful.]

Yes, they are. [He chuckles and shakes his head.] I guess that's up to me. We are managing well so far.

[Hot baths, heaters and fires help!]

They are a nice fit! I feel like some of my abilities have been enhanced by my season.

[Maybe a couple of others besides Xingchen... and they're either fairly new arrivals or not focusing on the healing aspect of their seasonal powers (and honestly, even if he knew several healers, what could be more soothing than being healed by gentle Xingchen?)]

I'm usually good at not getting injured out there, but if I do end up in a mess, I know where to go now. I know you would've helped me out regardless, but if feels more official to say "I got treated at Shan Healing", doesn't it?
