Probably an odd enough question, but are there others who have jumped multiple worlds before ending up here?

[ And she begins to explain, hands moving animatedly. ]

Thing is, I've ended up in two absolutely different worlds before this one, and gone home- but my memories are so fuzzy about who I met there that 'tis hard to recall some things. Sometimes they clear up when I meet some of the people, but... I know I'm missing some memories...

[ She sighs and sinks back against the tree then. ]

Name's Megumi, by the by. Matriarch of the Utakata family- and don't call me a cat-girl. My kind are called miqo'te, and I'm of the Keepers of the Moon clan! And I suppose I'm a Warrior of Light, too, but 'tis normal to have plenty of those in every world I've been to. Hullo, friends...

[ A little wave. ]

Honestly, I'm missing a lot of friends and my children too... wish I could see them and know how they are, but- sometimes they end up here, and sometimes they leave and return -

[ Her ears flick up, as there's a noise above her. Then a crack and she blinks and lifts her head, only to shift back quickly, eyes wide- ]

What th- Alphinaud?!

[ And a very boyish yell sounds from above! The camera staggers, but catches a blur before it focuses on a silver-haired boy falling into her arms from what seems to be the top of the tree, and both end up staring in shock at each other. ]

That was the fastest I've had a wish granted!

[ And the feed ends!! Welcome little Alphinaud, again! Replies will come from both Alphinaud and Megumi! ]

[Waving into the camera, Hythlodaeus beams. He's had great cause to be especially chirpy lately, and Megumi has probably already guessed why. Especially if she's seen the way he looks at Emet-Selch lately...]

When did you ever have to ask, darling? And of course you can- once he's recovered from the shock. This is Alphinaud- well, he was here before, then left, and now he's here again!

I see. Full glad am I to know that he is among friends once more. I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure, unless we count the brief meeting at the end of the universe. But I certainly wouldn't call that a proper introduction!

[What in the name of-- Sorry Megumi, he's not ignoring you, but he definitely didn't expect to see a young Elezen drop out of a tree in the middle of listening to Megumi speak so he could answer.]

[Small as Alphinaud is, it's no small thing to have someone fall on you out of a tree.]

I'm fine! Saw him lose his balance just in time or he'd have knocked his head onto mine! And 'twouldn't be the first time that happened either...

[ She's composing herself as she talks. ]

Think he's still in shock, though!

[He's seen Alphinaud come through worse! It's not meant to be dismissive - there is a bit of fondness there.]

I didn't know wishing worked like that here. What did you do?

[Alphinaud takes a moment to clear his throat before addressing anyone. He's a little embarrassed right now, especially after that horrible introduction. It seems that luck isn't on his side today, which is a shame.]

Fear not, neither of us are harmed—[A beat.] Outside of my dignity, of course.

[He can't quite help the faint smirk.]

I'm sure your dignity will recover. It's taken harder knocks than falling out of a tree.

[E'kayan could think of so many, but one in particular does come to mind... like the time he first met Krile, and she was so quick to tell them all about his first day at the Studium.]

[The boy answers after he's certain nothing is broken. It's then that he peers into the screen.]

Ah, greetings! If may so ask, have we...met before?

[She seems oddly familiar to him. While the Warrior of Light he knows differs greatly, he vaguely recalls a time when the Warrior of Light dawned glasses. It was a rather interesting fashion choice, that until he realized the man was nearsighted.]

This place has a tendency for familiarity. It tends to happen to those coming from Eitherys from what I've noticed. But to answer your question: we have but explaining it might be complicated.

[ Honestly, he's still getting a hang of this device, so he's probably got the screen focused on part of his shoulder and the wall. Either way, there are many statements that tipped off his interest outside of just catching a person existing with movable cat ears. ]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Megumi. Pardon my naive question, but you mentioned you are the Warrior of Light. Would you enlighten me more on the meaning behind that moniker?

[ Warden of Light = Warrior of Light? What are the chances... ]

[ ...Oh, right. Give him a moment to adjust as he props the device on some books then pulls a chair across the room to sit. Voila. He's mostly in frame. ]

Is this better? I had thought the plumbing to be this world's greatest marvel, yet these– the phones, I believe, are something else. Please extend my greetings to your fallen companion as well.

Well, well! Master Alphinaud, and another Warrior of Light! What a pleasant surprise. It is a pleasure to see you again, Master Alphinaud - and to meet you, Mistress Megumi.

If that sounds strange - [Saying that he's meeting her when she may already know him] - it is my understanding that I come from a different version of our world than the one you hail from. But I am well acquainted with my world's Warrior of Light - and I should like to think that any other Warrior of Light is but a friend I'll simply have to reacquaint myself with.

[ Her ears shoot up when she hears that voice- Aymeric was in the previous world she was in before being brought here but she can't recall what went on with them (for good reason)— so seeing him here only makes her brighten. ]


Lord Commander Aymeric?! I certainly wouldn't have minded you falling into mine lap, either!

When did you get here?! Are you doing well?!

[He laughs.] Given that I'm much taller than Master Alphinaud, I daresay I might squash you in that case.

And aye, I am well. I arrived here a few moons ago - right at the beginning of what I believe they call April here. Since then, I have filled most of my time by carrying out quests and fighting off monsters as they appear. Oh, and I have begun courtship with a woman by the name of Night Sky. What of you?

[ Once he sees him, he cannot help but smile. It's been a while, hasn't it? He is pleasantly surprised, to be honest. The sight of an old friend brings him great joy after meeting so many new faces. ]

I have always been intrigued by the idea that there are various Warriors of Light. Each of them is quite different and unique, but they all possess the heroic qualities that our dear friend possesses.
