Bonjour toute le monde! Long time no see!

[ Hey, look who it was, not dead and smiling into the camera with a little wave. Some people may recognize the background as his own place.]

So due to a quest I picked up, I ended up... well, taking a flower nap, I guess you can call it. [ A bit of a sheepish laugh, rubbing the back of his neck--] But, I didn't come back empty handed!

[ He waves his hand with a flourish, that smile still not gone.]

First off, Olwen's telling the truth. We really will pop right back where we were before coming to Ellipsa. Because that's why I was gone for 5 days instead of the usual 3...

[ His expression did become more serious, holding up his pointer finger. ]

When I came here, I was from early February in Chaldea, 2023, just before Valentines day. I woke up back in Chaldea with only... I'd wanna say vague memories of my time here. And by the time I woke up back here again out in the Summer Flower Yard...? It was early August in Chaldea.

Basically saying-- what was 5 days for you all? Was 6 months for me.

[ And just... letting that hang in the air a moment. Before the smile came back easily. ]

--Yeah, I think that's about it. Sorry for worrying you all and disappearing like that so suddenly, but just wanted to give you that bit of information. ...And a chance to yell at me for being irresponsible, heh.

[ A small salute to the camera-- juuust as some black and red faced cat peeked over the the edge of it.]

[A simple, innocuous enough text.

One that had taken far too long to make, but.]

[ Ah. Merde.

This was the other person Napoleon was worried about-- well okay, he was worried about a number of people, but especially Grandpere. It's not like he wanted to not tell him what he was planning... but it was bad enough the guy might've felt that Mana drain on him when he'd fought Medusa; add in that whole Frozen Heart thing? Like hell he was putting a human in danger like that. Even a Super Powered one.

But... still. Napoleon had checked the network before posting and saw that Grandpere had posted about the command spells vanishing... and the others reassuring him he'd be back. (Also apparently he and Medea had talked some, interesting--) so he knew the guy knew. And... knowing what he did know about Grandpere, this had probably hit him hard... ]

Yeah definitely.

Want me to head to your place? How you feeling?

[ Welp. Time to face the music! ]

[There were a lot of feelings, all churned together- but for better or worse, he was the type of person that could bury them down for just long enough to get to a point.

Which was getting this man in particular face to face. Wasn't a discussion he wanted over text- and there was also food for after that.]

[ Making sure the Pokemon were fed and the Sphinx cub was played with, Napoleon would grab a bottle of one of his nicer wines, putting it in a side bag (and... wrapping it so it could stay cold/protected), and head over to Jack's. He knew the way by now, easily, and... well.

He was standing in their lawn when he messaged the man again. ]

[ Because he was not knocking on that door without knowing he was going to get punched off the doorstep or flying tackled or something. ]

[All of the warning given before the front door was opened; both Jacq and Grant were allowed out towards Napoleon, Jack knowing they wouldn't knock them down, but it wouldn't stop them bouncing around him with those wings flared out in a happy greeting. Not as filled with boundless energy as they had been for a few weeks, easy to tell they'd been on their daily run and would likely settle down pretty quickly after this greeting.

Those two will probably get on to sleep soon, there's dinner on if you're hungry.

Ah, another Chaldean Servant. Might I trouble you to act as a guide? This place is as foreign to me as Proper Human History would be.

[ Wait, What??? ]

[ Gawain--FK--? Okay he knew two Gawains. One was the Knight of the Round table Gawain, who seemed like a decent dude all things considered. He had been in Chaldea longer than Napoleon had, whenever Maître mentioned fighting 'Camelot Gawain' from the 6th Singularity they got a weird twitchy look in their eye-- ]

[ But there was another Gawain. And she had only just been summoned to Chaldea, after everything in the 6th Lostbelt, and with that mention of 'Proper Human History'... ]

[ Oh boy. Oh boy he needed to give Medusa and Ozzy and Archer and probably Grandpere too even if he didn't swing that way a heads up-- ]

[ Not that he'd let her know he was thinking all that. ]

No trouble at all, I'd be happy to give you a hand. It must've been a hell of a surprise to end up here after only getting summoned to Chaldea.

[ ...actually, would this lady be Evangeline's type...? ]

Only recently, slightly before the festival the local fairies set up. It's good to see some familiar faces here, even if only you have recognized me so far.

Oryou doesn't like it when you die. Don't do it again.

[ ...Aww. Oryou. His expression softened some at that declaration from her.

Yeah... this had explained too, why he'd felt the urge to check in on her and Ryoma while back in Chaldea. He didn't know why then, he hadn't had a lot of involvement with the Guda Gang as he tended to call that group... ]

I promise I'll do my best to avoid it for now on. [ A pause, but... nodding. No, he should tell her now. ] ...And, ah. Just so you know, while I was back at Chaldea, you were by Ryoma's side.

So don't worry. He's fine, and you'll be back with him again.

[Oryou lights up, looking more relieved than she would ever verbally admit.]

Okay! If that's how it is, then Oryou will wait patiently...! And in the meantime, you can rely on her whenever you need help.

Six months...so this world is as unpredictable as the last. That must be disorientating.

[A pause, before: ]

...I do hope you informed your Master of your return before addressing all of Ellipsa like this?

[...Was that a slight protective streak? Yes, yes that was a bit of a protective streak in her voice. In his absence, she'd bonded with his Master over their shared history of betrayal- the prematurely cut-off conversation before Medea had made it private only telling a small part of that story. And, well, she'd offered to look out for him in Napoleon's absence.

A Master who had lost their Servant would be at risk if this were a Holy Grail War, after all.]

[ Oh right, it was Fuyuki!Medea. He remembered now, they didn't talk too much before he--

Did he look sheepish? He looked sheepish. ]

...A-ah, well. Trust me, he got a hold of me pretty quick. It wasn't from lack of thought, more just figured it best I blast this info out to everyone, especially him.

[ Because from what he knew about Jack and his homeworld... what he'd end up back home to... ]

--And before you justifiably scold me, he got me good for being a dumbass and going out without telling him what I was doing.

Ah...yes, I suppose I can see your logic.

[Whilst what became of her own world was meaningless to her, with her and her beloved dead...She couldn't imagine the idea that their worlds would go on without them would sit well with Jack- he had too much to do, too many people to track down- so the reassurance that everyone would go back to exactly where they left off would probably be one he needed to hear.

She did not say those thoughts out loud, not knowing how much he'd told his Servant- and besides, this was a public broadcast! Still, the tone in her voice indicated she at least had some understanding of the situation.]

...But good, because if he hadn't, I would have. Haha... if this were a Grail War you would have left him in quite the dangerous position, you know.

Still, it is reassuring to know that we don't simply disappear if our manifestations are destroyed here, I should at least thank you for that. I suppose I won't have to test it on Archer after all~

[Ozymandias could say many things. Like he's glad to see him back and that he remembers everything. Instead he gets:]

How arrogant of my concubine to just go off and die like you did. Preposterous! You should prepare for a punishment.

[But... a quiet addition of:]

[ Heh... just what he expected from the Great Pharaoh, to be honest.

~~And... getting those memories back did explain why he kept feeling like his face got hot around Ozymandias back at Chaldea, damn--~~ ]

J'aime excuse, mon Pharoah. I'll be back to see you and the rest as soon as Grandpere is done with me.

[ A wink and a bow, but his smile was reassured. Good, so... it had helped her. Thank goodness-- ]

Of course. I care about her a lot, too. She's currently staying here, too, so you might want to meet her first before coming to me.

But thank you. I know Medusa was in pain. You really helped her.

[Somehow he's ended up getting semi-attached to Rider during their stay there. That's also embarrassing to admit. Unlimited Private Feelings.]

Of course it was private. But hey, he wouldn't begrudge the man his private emotions, would he? ]

I... yeah. I'm really relieved to know that it helped. I also know it was dumb as hell, but, what we do for people we care about, huh?

[ He had a feeling Archer could understand that. ]

... yeah, I'm starting to understand that feeling.

[He's been thinking about the Archer who gave his arm to Shirou a lot. About why he did it. He could associate the feeling to protecting Rin. Saving Sakura. Plenty of important things.]

Or I suppose I always understood, but I've been alive so long I forgot how it felt.

[ That's an odd predicament. She's never heard of anything like that happen before. ]

I'm sorry about what happened, but... may I ask you something? When you were brought back to, ah, perhaps it is where you are originally from, what sort of vague memories did you have of Ellipsa?

...It's sort of hard to explain, now that I have them all back. But... there's a few people here that I know from Chaldea, the Organization I'm apart of, but we weren't especially close until I was brought here. You know, when in a new situation, we all stick together kinda deal, forge friendships, etc etc. Going from a working relationship to actually knowing one another.

[ He gestured out, eyes closed in thought. ]

But once I was back in Chaldea, I kept on having... weird deja vus, or feeling the urge to talk to those same people, despite not remembering really why.

[ Wanting to talk to Medusa in the Library, but avoiding her once he saw her sisters nearby--

Seeing Ozymandias around and feeling like he should talk to the man, but catching himself.

Checking in on Oryou and Ryoma despite not having talked much at all to the Boiler Room Guda Gang before.

Having the urge to tease Emiya Archer, only to see him smiling and happy and... wondering why he was so sure the guy would have a frown on his face...? ]

--Or, I'd do double takes at people who ... for some reason, felt familiar but off, but I couldn't put a finger on why. But now I realise it's because they reminded me of someone I only met here, but there's no 'other version' back in Chaldea. So my mind kept substituting the closest person I knew to them.

[ Why he kept doing a double take at William Tell and wondering 'where is his facial scars?'

Why he'd see Hijikata of the Shinsengumi munching on pickled radishes and thinking 'huh, no Mayo?'

And not being able to figure out why that was at all. ]

...So for me, it was more about feeling like there was something I was missing with some folks I knew there, but not well, but no real one to one memories.

I see.

[ How odd. She doesn't know anything about the place she was in before, when she came back to Inazuma. ]

But with no recollection of this world, or why you had that feeling, it would have been difficult to take action.

[ That makes sense when you look at it like that. ]

And how do you feel now? Do you still feel strange, having memories of two worlds at the same time?
