How much longer do you have to spend in another world before the world you were born in is no longer 'your world'?

I would say that happens when you decide you would rather be a resident of one over the other. It's more a matter of choice than timeframe.

That is a perspective that I hadn't considered. Though, in my case, 'tis impossible for me to return to my original world even if I wished to and even if this place loosed its hold on me.

Even so, that will be your world for as long as you consider it yours. That said, is there anything stopping you from having more than one world you consider your own?

I'm not sure it's a matter of time. It can be, but I like to think your home world is wherever you decide your home is.

My home is with you. Wherever you are. So "my world" is here, for now. Where I originated has nothing to do with it anymore.

Ah, you're wiser about these things than I am, as usual. My home is most certainly by your side. In the house that I come back to to see your face each day.

I don't know about wise. Overemotional sounds more like it. Stubbornly determined to make you happy by any means necessary and all that. But if it makes you feel any better, I'll certainly take it.

I dunno. I think maybe it's just like moving countries, though, right? If you feel like someplace is your home now, then it is!

Usually one moves countries intentionally, I believe? Which altogether complicates things.

I suppose it is. But all of my moves have been to other worlds like this, never within the same world by intention.

In my case, that world was a dream from the very beginning.

I mean it's still my world. Or where I'm from.
Like my hometown is still my hometown even if I never go back there again and live somewhere else.

Suppose then that you only lived in the town you were born in for a very short time before moving? Such that you have few memories of the place.

That's a big question. Like super big. But...I mean if you're asking it, doesn't that mean you kinda have the answer?

Does it? I would think that if I knew the answer, I wouldn't ask the question.

All worlds that you come to can be yours if you claim ownership over them. You need not have only one.

I don't mean to say that you conquer them, although that's my preferred method of claiming worlds, but more that if you feel you have a claim to some portion of it- a home, a network of relationships, a place you have carved out for yourself- them it can be yours if you so choose.

I would still only refer to my plane of birth as "my world" to others, personally, but it's a matter of preference.

I certainly would consider the house I reside here in my home. Perhaps that extends to the world containing it as well.
