Hello again! I am Qifrey, a witch.

I've been curious. How do younger children or teenagers manage here? Is it easy for them to live? Are there programs to help them?

It's been weighing on me lately. Perhaps someone knows the answer to this?

Speaking as someone who's "underage", I receive a very sufficient government funding, making it unnecessary to find a job or do quests, unless I wanted to.

You're also offered a foster family, but it's not required.

But surely money and a place to live are not the only things people need.

From what I understand, there are multiple ways for those who are dependent on others to help them transition into a life here.

However I am not one of them. I am disciplined enough to maintain my own studies while balancing a small part-time job.

Of course they're not, but they're the basic needs someone would need to get other things they need.

Other things you need to figure out yourself. I was lucky enough to arrive with company.

It is an admirable goal.

But I find that in order to gain true success, all parts of ourselves must be aligned. Heart, body and mind.

That's actually a good question. I'm not a kid, so I don't know about services. But as an adult with no life skills, I've had luck finding plenty of help through the network.

So I hope there's something for kids too.

I wouldn't be setting a good example for my juniors if I had issues.

That being said, this isn't my home. I suppose adjusting as a whole could be considered a problem, but I'm confident in how I've adapted thus far.

I think if you had issues, your juniors might be reassured to see them and know you could handle them. As opposed to those issues being non-existent.

That's a very good question, now that I think of it.

Though I wasn't aware young children ended up in this world. Does it happen often?

I suppose it depends on one's definition of young.

Even for those as independent as teenagers, I find it a little startling.

Yes, that's true. For myself, my views are admittedly skewed, due to where I come from.

Thinking on it... Even if the housing is provided, those without life skills would still be in a difficult position. If they have never cooked or kept house before... to say nothing of how to earn enough to live on.

Which goes without saying, shouldn't be a concern of small children.

As we are all dispersed all over this world, we're hardly a community. Who keeps an eye out? Who looks after those who may be overlooked?

None. I'm on my own for the first time here. So I'm lucky there have been so many people to ask.

As hesitant as I am to ask - there aren't any systems the locals have in place, are there?

Though, I know such things are far from perfect, even if they do exist.

They offer quests and programs, but nothing too details in my experience so far.

Yes...but mostly no. It's a long story that I'm not comfortable going into on the network.

But in my world, I've only been living as an adult for like three months, but with friends who handled everything. I've been here less than a month.
