Could I interest anyone in classes for basic first aid?

I'm sure we have people here very talented in healing magic, but with the strangeness of this world you never know when knowing how to correctly apply a tourniquet or treat a burn on the spot might come in useful. We do seem to be being encouraged to expand our skill sets, no?

I can be sure to find a location that suits the level of interest but having some people to assist on the teaching side wouldn't go amiss either. Do let me know, and I'll make the arrangements.

I've been curious. How do younger children or teenagers manage here? Is it easy for them to live? Are there programs to help them?

It's been weighing on me lately. Perhaps someone knows the answer to this?

It seems we have quite a few travelers out of time here! It's reassuring to see I'm not the only one left puzzling over concepts like the 'phone' and the 'vending machine'. ... We were all perplexed by the 'vending machine' weren't we? That wasn't just me, surely.

Before I let this get away from me, I'll dispense with the pleasantries immediately; I am called Oengus, and I can almost assure you that I'm glad to make any of your acquaintances. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can in the time that I am here, as I've already met just shy of a half dozen of you and I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about anyone.

I suppose the most pressing issue is... I've never had to go looking for a regular job before. ... I have no idea what I am doing, nor where to go, or who to speak to. I cannot remain where I am forever after all, and I'll assuredly need money at some point... So it would seem.

If you've no information on that front however, please feel free to tell me something about yourself! Trivia from home perhaps, or where or indeed when you are from! Anything that comes to mind, really, as I've implied earlier I have... very little to do right now and I'm in dire need of conversation.

Popular, for lack of a better word. Understandable, given the nature of our arrival here, but also a bit of a shame when you consider how easy it is for the mind to become bored of such repetition.

Regardless, I'm adding to it all with my own.
As you can see by my label, I am Purple Mage. For the sake of ease, just "Purple" is alright.

My question is simple, perhaps even boring: what seems to be the longest any of you have been here? In this world?

And as an attempt to make this post of mine a bit more interesting... what's the strongest magic you can do?
It's alright if your answer is "sleight of hand". The right card trick, done well, can be just as interesting as raising the dead.

...Doesn't anyone else find it kinda messed up that just as we can be dragged to this world seemingly at random, other people can just disappear without a trace? Or just black out for a few days and suddenly find they've been dumped with weeks worth of memories from home?

[Someone else had posted something like that on the network not too long ago right- about how they had fallen asleep and seemingly gone back home for a few weeks...]

At this point, it feels like it could just happen to anyone, anytime, without any warning. Even in a world where people can just show up again after being ambushed by a monster and killed. What exactly are we supposed to do with that?

[Sighs...a look of frustration coming into her face- one that was hiding pain behind it. And for one who's Spring magic keyed off hope and joy- ]

Well, whatever, it's annoying. I've got exams at the Magical Manor tomorrow and this mess is screwing with my magic something fierce.

...If anyone wants to do any last minute cramming in the morning, I'll be there early. I don't know, maybe a longer term study group would be a good idea after all.

On the subject of studying, if anyone has any experience teaching martial arts who wouldn't object to teaching me on principle, let me know. I started training Taekwondo at home before I got dragged here and I'm getting restless.

alright so

we're clearly all stuck here for a while and have to live and get jobs if we wanna survive. whatever, i can work within whatever system they think they have me in

my big question is: who's ear do we have to whisper into in order to have someone else pulled in? it looks like death's not a barrier for them and i bet if you give a description to someone they should be able to grab them, right?

or is that something i'll have to save money for. that wouldn't surprise me either.
