Could I interest anyone in classes for basic first aid?

[The slim, white snake that some people may remember from the last time a post attached to this username was put on the network is looped around the green-haired doctor's neck and looking directly into the camera with oddly human-looking eyes, her forked tongue flicking out now and then.

Baizhu's voice is light, casual. He looks well.]

I'm sure we have people here very talented in healing magic, but with the strangeness of this world you never know when knowing how to correctly apply a tourniquet or treat a burn on the spot might come in useful. We do seem to be being encouraged to expand our skill sets, no?

[The doctor smiles.]

I can be sure to find a location that suits the level of interest but having some people to assist on the teaching side wouldn't go amiss either. Do let me know, and I'll make the arrangements.

But a wise move. It would be prudent to not rely entirely upon magic.

...not at all. [ a good guess. ] I don't want to always have to rely on them in the off chance that something should happen and I'm incapable of doing so. And Mehrak would like to learn too, although he might not be capable of everything I'd also like him to know the basics. [ so he can at least potentially stabilize somebody before hurrying off to fetch help. ]

[Not that he's going to object to people bringing other people along but he does need to make a note for a general idea of numbers.]

We journeyed out to the border of Ellipsa together to examine some plants pressing through from the Darkness, along with some... rather vicious snakes. I found him to be a competent adventuring companion.

[And a decent conversationalist. Quiet, but not difficult. Maybe that's just Baizhu being Baizhu, though...]

I ought to have got back in touch with him sooner.

[ at the mention of the darkness he bristles a little. ] And what of the plants? [ the snakes are probably the more pressing matter, but he can't ignore mention of the darkness. ] Ah, yes, he's... good company to have around, [ he looks aside. ] at least some of the time.

Well this could be another great jumping off point. I'm sure he'd love to get back in touch too. [ maybe. this IS alhaitham we're talking about. ]

The plants were dealt with effectively enough by the both of us.

[Baizhu can be a competent enough combatant when he needs to be, though admittedly after the outing he had needed a few days to recover.]

Friends, ahah, yeah... [ it's not like it's a secret, but it's still weird to openly ( and easily ) admit after so many years, but ] We're dating. So boyfriends.

Ah-hah! My apologies then. He didn't mention you when we met.

[Though, granted, they may not have been together at the time.]

Though we did have other priorities, and he didn't seem the type to speak openly about his personal life in any case.
