The technical term was 'Abnormalities'. We had a little of everything - vampires, apocalyptic birds, chimeric creatures, things that drive you insane just by looking at them...
My specialty was seeing to their social needs while in containment. So a lot of chatting, mostly. But I also had to fight them when they broke out like every other employee did.
Well. Okay. So the first thing you have to know is that my company sucks and only cares about money. It's an energy production company primarily, with the energy coming from a chemical produced by the Abnormalities we kept.
Abnormalities are extremely dangerous and frequently violent. We'd have employee deaths regularly.
Are they dangerous and violent just because they're abnormalities? Or does your company only imprison those who have proven they're both of those things...?

Most of them are just inherently dangerous, with no understanding of the concept of human death or morality. But we do also have ones that aren't dangerous that are kept in the exact same kind of cells.
Again: the priority at the top is money. Ethics don't really enter into it.
My boss will kill me instantly if I try to quit. And of course they don’t tell you just how bad it is before you sign on. I hate it there, but not enough that I’m willing to die to get out.
Maybe you'll be able to find some way out of it! Like... you could learn something here that you can take home and use to get yourself free, you know? No one should have to live like that.
I don't think you've gotta worry.. Hope isn't something that will just take away the skills you've already learned, you know? As long as you remember what you've learned, hope can only help you.
And... hey, if you ever need or want to chat about it? It sounds like we've had some... kinda similar experiences, you know? So... you can always feel free to contact me. Anytime.

[ Honestly, Rinoa's not sure she likes the term "abnormalities". Even if it is better than "monsters". ]

sorry for the delay. I've been incredibly sick!
[ She hesitates for a moment before she continues writing, not entirely sure if she wants to say it or not— except she does. No matter what. ]
Your company would want to lock me away, too. And it wouldn't be the first time.
I hope you feel better soon!
I’m sorry. It must have been awful.
♥ thanks! it's slow-going.
I'm sorry too. It sounds like you're kind of trapped yourself, when I think about it..
