Helloooooooooo, fellow time-displaced/world-displaced comrades! Let's break in this little network of ours, shall we?

My name is Kokichi Oma. I'm also known as the Ultimate Supreme Leader, buuuuuut you can just call me Kokichi. 19/M, originally from Japan, but I was in a little place called Trench before this. That place kinda sucked, so this is more or less a new start.

Let's go ahead and toss out some intros since we're all here now! Feel free to introduce yourself, and for flavor, include a few fun facts....and to liven things up, I've tossed in a surprise!

I can shift into one of my non-human forms if if makes you more comfortable. I know how it is. [ They can be gawked at together. ]

Oh, you don’t have to, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what it is!

[She has an excited grin on her face. This got interesting!]

All right.

[ Saya removes her jacket and holds it in her hand so it won't be ruined. Then she takes a step back and changes, her short hair lengthening and her skin and eyes and hair going silver-white. Huge bat wings sprout from her back and stretch like they've been too long confined (hence why her jacket came off), her fingernails lengthen into near-claws. She's still mostly human-shaped but for the wings and claws, and her skin color is a dead giveaway. People around them gasp, Saya ignores them. ]

I have a form that's even more like a giant bat, but it's huge and it tends to send people running. And I can't talk except for telepathically, so not very convenient.

[Julie-Su watches in awe as Saya changes her form, not exactly a beast but someone decidedly different than before. She shakes her head at Saya’s comment about a further form.]

Nah, save that for something more threatening than me.

[Curiousity does get the better of her and she goes to hold her hand briefly.]

Huh.

[ She holds out her hand for examination, unbothered. Keeping her claws still so they don't cause harm. ]

What are you thinking?

I’ve never seen anything like this before. A part of me wants to try to apply all this to combat potential, but…

I don’t need to anymore. Not here.

I've got combat potential in any form. But I'm just as happy not to use it... or only use it when it's voluntary. [ Sparring, killing actual monsters, that sort of thing. ]

Hopefully none of us have to do any more than that.

I hope not, either. I’d like to do something that isn’t fighting for once.

[She’ll hold Saya’s hand for a bit before releasing it.]

[ She has no objections to the hand holding, that's all fine. She waits patiently for Julie-Su to let go. ]

All right. I'll try to make a long story short.

My species has a life cycle that's pretty different. I get a few months of time awake, and then I slowly sleep more and more until I don't wake up for something like fifty years. When I wake up, I don't remember anything, I don't even have a real personality.

The memories I have now are precious to me, so I'd like to stop myself from needing to hibernate.

That’s… that’s terrible! Unfair! You… you lose everything so fast…

It's not great. But it's worse for the people around me.

The last place I was, sometimes people got temporary amnesia. And here, there are people I once knew, but different versions of them that don't remember me at all.

Seeing the other side, how painful it is, makes me determined to figure this out.

[She knows about that, but it sounds like it’s more different that ‘Person A as Concept B’ like hers is.]

It really is unfair. I hope you can fix it.

And hey, if you want to be human, maybe you'll figure something out. But I'm sure that at least you'll find people here who accept you as you are, however you are.

Hmm... maybe I'll see what I can do as myself first and if things don't work out, I'll see what to do about being human.

I like that idea. I'll never tell anyone not to go for what they want, but it's easier if we can accept ourselves as we are. [ Or so she's heard. ] Just takes having the right people around you.

Perhaps one other. I wouldn’t mind meeting these others, though.

Then you should come visit me sometime. My husband's part dragon, he has wings and horns and the whole deal. And we live with some others who are incredibly accepting.

[ One's a standard human but absolutely rejects the idea that humans are the default, one's a god (but like, undercover) and one's some form of alien Saya has yet to probe deeply about. ]

We'd love to have you as a friend.

I'm absolutely inviting! We also have three wonderful and willing chefs in the house, so there's always plenty to eat. Come by anytime.

[ Saya texts Julie-Su her address and a pin on the map to find it easily, they live on the outer edge of Blossomcrown. ]

Just say you're a friend of mine and they'll welcome you with open arms. Just don't be alarmed if you find me hanging on one or more of them, we're pretty close. [ To say the least. ]
