[He starts the feed with a laugh, a low chuckle that sounds...tired.]

Is that really considered entertainment? [The Hot or Not post is the cause of this mood.] I'll tell you this: if you are a good person who tries to help others and doesn't purposefully cause pain, you're beautiful. What you look like doesn't matter.

[ Kexing puffs out his cheeks but then just sighs and plops down to lean against one of the many trees around their home. ]

We both know they won't change, A-Xu. No matter how much better the world would be if they did. Human nature is ugly.

[That looks like a nice place to rest. Zishu bundles up and walks out to him. He chooses Kexing's lap as his seat.]

Not always. Human nature can be breathtaking, too. I'm not giving up on them.

[ His lap is always open to Zishu~ Kexing wraps his arms around his husband and holds him close, resting his cheek on a strong shoulder. ]

If you still have hope for them then...alright, A-Xu. How can I help?

[The contact settles something very angry inside of him. His memories calm, fading into the back of his mind.]

Keep me from dragging them around by their ears.

[ The contact has the same effect on Kexing. It soothes the bitterness and he nuzzles his soulmate, eyes closing to enjoy just being with Zishu.

The request has him grin. ]

Maybe that would help them though.

[Zishu buries his fingers in Kexing's hair and kisses his temple. He can't help reflecting his love's grin, his soul feeling lighter.]

As soon as I stop, they will go back to what they were doing before.

[ A sigh of pure contentment escapes under the affection and Kexing tightens his hold on Zishu. ]

Because they're fools. That is no fault of yours.

[He curls around his soulmate and tries... Oh he tries... to hold the little boy his love had once been. The Ghost Valley wouldn't have existed at all if not for people's cruelty.]

I want to encourage them to do better. For their sake.

[ Kexing snuggles into that secure embrace. If anyone can breathe life back into that little boy, it's Zhou Zishu. Kexing feels closest to that old self when he's held like this though. ]

Show them, but don't let their failure hurt you, A-Xu.

[Zishu loves every side of his Lao Wen. He loves the little boy put under his care who shadowed his steps adorably. He loves the Ghost Valley chief who must show brutality to keep his position. And he loves his silly Lao Wen who pursues him and holds onto him with all his might.]

Where did you unearth this wisdom?

[ He breathes easiest when with his A-Xu. He's the most whole when they're together. Who else could possibly love him after all he's done?

He laughs at that silly question and lifts his head to grin into his husband's eyes. ]

A-Xu! I've always had this wisdom. It's hardly my fault you just now realized it.

[Zishu doesn't think he's special for loving his Lao Wen. Now having his Lao Wen's love is a different story. That love is his reason for living.

The laughter sends tingles down his spine and Zishu presses a soft kiss to Kexing's grinning lips.]

Forgive this fool. He is slow on the uptake.

[ While Kexing feels he's the lucky one to have Zishu's love!

He softens at the kiss, sighing quietly into it as he holds his husband close. ]

I cannot, because there's nothing to forgive. And you are no fool, A-Xu.

[Well he has all of it. Zishu strokes over Kexing's cheek, marveling at the man's existence.]

I am a little bit of one. I accept it, too.

[ He knows. Any time he's stupid enough to forget, or doubt, all he has to do is look at his hair. He leans into that touch, gazing peacefully into Zishu's eyes. ]

A-Xu.

[Zishu grins at his name and kisses his Lao Wen deeply, wrapping him in his arms.]

I love you.

[ Kexing melts into the kiss, humming happily. Then chuckles softly and simply stands up, lifting Zishu up into his arms to carry him back inside. ]

I love you.

[He makes a sound of surprise and then laughs, embracing his Lao Wen to him. This man is the only one who gets to carry him!]

Let's sit in front of the fire.

[ He grins smugly as Zishu only holds onto him. He knows how rare it is for his proud, strong husband to let anyone do this. ]

Aah~

[ If that's where his beloved wants to sit, that's where they're sitting. Kexing carries him over and settles down before the crackling fire. And sets his husband right back in his lap. ]

Better?

[Rare? Try nonexistent. But Zishu is willing to try anything and do anything with his Lao Wen.]

My favorite seat.

[He chuckles and relaxes against Kexing, twirling his white hair around his finger.]

This is perfect.

[ He smirks, curling his arms right back around his husband's waist as he settles in to make sure they're both comfortable. His smirk smooths out though as his hair is played with. ]

Ah. It is.

[ Kexing nuzzles his husband's neck lovingly. ]

[Zishu reaches around Kexing to place a pillow against his love's back. Then he snuggles against him and toys with his hair. The strands are dazzling in the firelight.]

You know how to improve my mood.

[ His beloved is endlessly thoughtful. Kexing hums happily and runs his hands slowly, appreciatively over his A-Xu's body. ]

I'm here.

[Zishu shivers under those hands, his breathing shallow. Oh. That's nice!]

I can tell. Will you stay, Lao Wen? Your A-Xu needs you or he will turn into a grumpy old man.

[ He smirks slowly, enjoying that reaction. ]

Wherever my A-Xu is, that's where I will be. And not just to save the world from this grumpy old man.
