How would you suggest they do that? Not everyone is equipped for that task.

Everyone should have at least some inkling of self-esteem in them.

Should they? Some are bullied and abused to such a degree that their self-esteem is crushed.

Once crushed self-esteem is not lost forever. It can and will rise again - stronger than ever.

But it needs encouragement and meaning to do so. Just like a deep wound needs coaxing to heal.
