[ Lahabrea hasn't made his presence known much since his arrival here. Nevertheless, he has a question he wishes to ask that may spark a lively debate. He has no need for anonymity on his part, so this mysterious "orator" can be addressed accordingly. After much thought, he decides to type the following: ]

What makes you worthy of existence?

Yes, we typically wear masks and hoods, unlike the citizens of this realm. It's unusual for us to express our individuality in such vulgar ways. Our collectivist mindset distinguishes us from others who inhabit our star.

As much as I dread admitting it, I've had a difficult time adjusting to life here in Ellipsa. The people here are vastly different from those from Etheirys. It's a frustrating, yet oddly rewarding experience.

Oh, I imagine that was quite the shock at first! But isn't it also fun to learn how other people think, particularly when they are so different from your own mindset? That's why you asked this question of all of us, isn't it - to see our viewpoints and understand why we think the way we do?

That is, indeed, the reason for this discussion. I want to know what people from other cultures think about one's existence. While some find this topic rather mundane, others have provided me with the insight I seek.

It's the sort of question that frustrates people, I think. Having to come up with a reason for one's existence is something that would be quite difficult for most people where I come from, and so they might react with anger or frustration at that thought. Personally, I find it a curious thought and one I've never really had to delve into, so thank you for posing the question! I hope you've obtained enough interesting insight!

I must confess that I was rather startled that this question elicited such powerful feelings. I was woefully unprepared but thankfully, this has been rewarding.

I’ve missed this form of discussion. It’s been rather lonesome.

Perhaps you should post more questions inspired to spark debate, then! At the very least you're always bound to get some people truly passionate about their answers, even if they do take that passion out on you. I'm glad that it's been worthwhile, anyway!

Perhaps you could state that it's merely to hear everyone's answers and not anything particularly serious? Perhaps that might help? Though admittedly, I'm not sure how much vitriol the responses have had...
