A Debate [text | un: orator]
[ Lahabrea hasn't made his presence known much since his arrival here. Nevertheless, he has a question he wishes to ask that may spark a lively debate. He has no need for anonymity on his part, so this mysterious "orator" can be addressed accordingly. After much thought, he decides to type the following: ]
What makes you worthy of existence?
[That's just one of many questions to come.]

When we die, like others from Etheirys, we return to the star through the Aetherial Sea, the flow of life by which governs all stars.
[That might sound like religious ideology, but Lahabrea is being very literal here.]
The thought of changing one's fate is futile, but I certainly seek a means to do just that.

yeah? and does that life energy go back into nature and stuff after?
( It's a distinctly different ideology than what he normally hears humans purport - not that he listens often to humans talk on their spiritual beliefs - but it's a principle that makes better sense to him than any idea of an afterlife or other man-made conventions. )
changin fate sounds real ambitious, you a "i'll work hard and make it happen" kinda guy?

[Lahabrea is aware that not all worlds have aether, thanks to his previous visit to the Amberfall Library. He believes that most worlds have their own unique version of aether. It most likely goes by another name.]
The threat of hard work never hindered me, even on my darkest days. If there is any way I can avoid the miserable end I was privileged to witness, I will do everything in my power to do so.
This much I owe to both myself and Etheirys.

Wait, )
by end you mean like etheirys's or your own or
( Two very different conversations here, )

Both.

thats fucked up. sorry.
( For asking? That it happened? Both, honestly.
But also: that this this guy's still trying. Nero would've given up, in his shoes. He's given up for less. And though Nero's promised his death to another, he kinda... doesn't have that much hope for the coming year. Years? Damn, he'd be lucky if he can make years.
Worse is thinking about the other people who are probably going to die alongside him, though.
He leaves his reply at that for a minute or so, and thinks about just leaving it at that permanently. But a guilt gets at him, you know? Feels worse to have a guy admit he and his world kinda went out and just not say anything in turn. Feels cold, to Nero. So, finally, almost reluctantly, he adds: )
i'm in similar situation, i guess. not dead yet. but yknow. its whatever. theres this thing called the calamity back home that hits every year and it kinda gets worse and worse. im on this task force sorta to stop it. which is going, you know
so, yeah, fucked up. what is there even after everythin ends? aint it just kinda over? ors etheirys got a backup goin on?
