Hello everyone! Once again, for those who do and don't know me, I am Clavell. I hope you all are having a pleasant day, even with these surprises I assume many have been gifted.

I do, of course, mean those eggs left in a basket and hatching! As most know, I am from a world where these wonderful creatures known as Pokémon exist, and am very happy to help those with questions about their new friends.

[Up popped his Rotomphone with a wide smile before flipping around, displaying the Pokédex app for all to see--]

A friend and I created a phone app some several months ago that you all may freely download that is filled with information about all sort of Pokémon from various regions; which you can download here- [There would be an attached download file for those who wished to download said Pokédex phone app.

There are, and I couldn't say. Young Applin there came with one of my preferred pokéball types on top of it all to house them. Still, what matters most is the hatching Pokémon are healthy.

[Applin was already enjoying the presence of Clavell's other pokemon, giving how it bounced from paw to paw with Meowscarada doing their best to entertain the young one in the background.]

It's really cute! My roommate got an egg too! Mecchan seems kinda nervous about what'll hatch, though. Do you know how I can help?

[Mecchan climbs on the bag. He doesn't want to share his room with a stranger...!]

Well, with time and warmth from being carried by someone it will hatch- and Mecchan will have a new friend with it. Speaking with him about it, that it is simply a new addition and with time this strange new pokémon can be a new friend to play and share things with.

[Thoughtfully spoke, Clavell tipping his head as he was watching Applin be entertained by some of is own team.]

There is much they will need to learn, and perhaps Mecchan may -if he wishes- see himself as someone that can help a young pokémon who could be nervous and afraid that they are safe and cared for?

[Rinku smiles at the Applin and nods. Mecchan looks up at the screen and tilts his head, thinking of this.]

Yeah, when you put it that way, that sounds nice! Doesn't it, Mecchan?

[The little Sobble pensively blows a bubble.]

It's gotta be lonely to not have many friends around, after all. Your Applin looks really lucky to have so many.

[Meowscarada certainly seemed skilled in entertaining newly hatched pokémon, that was for certain.]

It is easy, and not uncommon, for a pokémon to be worried about their own spaces as well with the arrival of another coming soon. Still, Mecchan is the older pokémon and would have some wonderful experiences to help this younger one adjust. To help it feel as safe as he may.

[Not so different from children at times, those same worries and feelings, with some pokémon.]

Some do well, while others are far more social and need that sort of enrichment of others around them. My own are rather used to helping me raise young pokémon from hatching onwards, thankfully.

Huh... That makes sense, since he always runs to hide in his room when he's scared. You're right! I'm sure it'll all turn out great!

[Rinku claps her hands together and smiles.]

Thanks for always knowing what to do, Clavell-sensei! You must be a super expert by now.

Just be sure to reassure him that his safe space will remain his, and perhaps he may have to adjust to a curious little one until they are able to better remember. It takes time for even us to learn something after all, correct?

[There was a reason he went from being a scientist to a school director when given the chance after all. That smile of his was warm.]

I am simply glad to help when I can. All of my years of travel and study has helped quite a bit in that regard, and I have faith others can pick up in what I may lack here.

It's really helpful! Yeah, I'm bad at learning things unless they're fun. And I bet whatever hatches is gonna be really cute and fun to be around, just like Mecchan.

Some are quicker to learn some things than others, and fun is certainly a key aspect to it. Some simply strive to get stronger once they decide for themselves it's what they wish to do as well, and can be handfuls at times as well.

Like Hinobuta-chan, Hijikata-san's partner! He battles so much, he evolved pretty fast. I wonder if Mecchan ever will?

[Mecchan's head perks up. He seems to be contemplating the idea.]

He already wanted to get tall last week and drank an enlarge potion. Then he got stuck in a door...

Perhaps- but it also isn't strange for a pokémon not wanting to. Will simply have to wait and see if Mecchan may want to grow strong through evolution, or is content as he is now.

What matters is the both of you being happy together, right?

[Some did for their trainer as well of course, but pokémon could be that loyal and push themselves in a want to protect they could do so much.

Ah. Clavell's hand moved, petting Houndoom when he came up to settle near where Clavell sat himself on a bench.]

Sounds like he had quite the adventure, but at least if he grows taller as he evolves there won't be the issue of getting suck in a door.

Yeah, I think so too! C'mere, Mecchan!

[Mecchan hesitates and then runs over and climbs up the side of the desk. Rinku gathers him up into her arms.]

Your team is always working hard at what they do too, huh? How do you guys train every day?

Indeed. I don't battle as often as I once did back home, given my job takes most of my time, but I tend to ensure they keep in shape by allowing them to play-battle amongst themselves.

Sometimes take them out on quests with me as well, and it is quite a way t battle side-by-side that is far different than what I am used to, but bonds have never been stronger— or so I feel.

That's cool! I've been trying to train Mecchan after what you guys said. He's getting good at putting out flames when I make them appear.

A good way to start, and you can see if some of those playdates you have arranged with him before could be interested in battle. For fun, if the pokémon are game, and create your own ruling of which wins if you don't wish to go fully into a 'who faints first' round.

Oh, that might be fun! I want it to be fun for him, so I can't just do the stuff Evangeline-neechan's been doing to train me. He'd get scared.

Some game of it may be easier, even more so if battle simply isn't for him. There's always practice of routines to music and the like.

Oh, I can definitely do that! He's too scared of crowds to perform with me, but making it into a dance and song sounds easy.
