[There was an off Pokémon blinking into the camera before it was helpfully pulled back up— and the Applin itself scooped up but a larger/taller Pokémon with that sly playful smile in a playful way.]
Hello everyone! Once again, for those who do and don't know me, I am Clavell. I hope you all are having a pleasant day, even with these surprises I assume many have been gifted.
I do, of course, mean those eggs left in a basket and hatching! As most know, I am from a world where these wonderful creatures known as Pokémon exist, and am very happy to help those with questions about their new friends.
[Up popped his Rotomphone with a wide smile before flipping around, displaying the Pokédex app for all to see--]
A friend and I created a phone app some several months ago that you all may freely download that is filled with information about all sort of Pokémon from various regions; which you can download here- [There would be an attached download file for those who wished to download said Pokédex phone app.
And that was a warm smile from the older man--]
So once again, if you have any questions or need some sort of help? Please do not hesitate to contact me, or anyone else you may know to have helpful knowledge of Pokémon. I shall be at the park in Blossomcrown should some be near as well.
Good day.

[She's pretty sure this was the person who helped her when she first got her Snivy, although she had been wearing her blindfold at the time. Said Snivy was now fully evolved, the Serperior staring curiously over her shoulder at the camera.
And, in keeping to theme, a newly hatched Silicobra was sleepily curled up on her lap.]
I meant to thank you, for back then.

[Meowscarada was having a rather fun time there in the background, Applin bouncing from paw to paw as the larger pokémon took utmost care in that little game. Litten had evolved since then as well, Incineroar seeming amused while she watched Meowscarada and Applin.
Clavell certainly had a full house of pokémon, that was for sure--]
You are more than welcome. I see the little one has certainly been well taken care of- and you've a new friend.

Then, it is good to speak to you again... Clavell, was it? Rider.
[It was sweet, how well Clavell's companions were getting along with one another- she hoped that her own would be able to do the same, once the younger one had gotten a bit older and more resilient.
At the compliment, she couldn't help a little smile come into her face, reaching up to lightly pet her Serperior- Who made a show of being put out by this despite 'secretly' leaning it's snout into her hand for more pets. Evidently, it had not grown out of all its haughty tendencies!]
Yours seem to be getting along well, too.
Raising this one and watching it grow has been rewarding... I hope I can do the same for the younger one. I do not know much about its nature just yet, it only hatched yesterday.
[Just giving the baby a little pet on the head with one finger, as gently as she could.
Certainly, for all this woman's calm stoicism, there was an almost maternal manner in how she tended to these creatures. Perhaps that was normal, for one who's children were not human to begin with.]

Well, let's investigate! He's old, so he must be...]
Hi! Are you a Pokemon Professor?
no subject
[There was a small gesture to that white cased Rotomphone that still hovered nearby-]
My colleague back home created the app, and I'm a skilled enough programmer to upgrade that in other ways.
I am, however, Director of an Academy that teaches young trainers all they may need to know of living with their partners and growing stronger together. Before that I was a scientist.

Got it. He's the catch tutorial NPC! Her bunny ears twitch as she nods to herself, knowing she's got it right. Definitely.]
That's so great! I didn't get any Pokemon here, though, but I think it's 'cause I don't know any of the Pokemon here. No one knows about my favorite one, I think, 'cause everyone here is from so far in the past...

[Applin was already enjoying the presence of Clavell's other pokemon, giving how it bounced from paw to paw with Meowscarada doing their best to entertain the young one in the background.]

I think Misu's eager to play with other Pokemon.

It certainly appears so, and young Applin here is just as eager. My other pokémon are taking care to introduce themselves to them.

[He's not so worried about it being nefarious, but he hasn't dismissed the possibility. It's just kind of hard to imagine something as sweet as the little one he'd ended up with turning out to be part of some sort of dastardly plot.
There's a small Gastly in the video with him that's busy trying to see who's (or rather, what Pokemon friends are) on the other side of the feed, which means getting into Jinwoo's space directly. He's giving the little ball a gentle poke on the cheek as if to say "too close" but not using any real force. He'll get to his questions about her in a minute!]
no subject
[Speaking calmly even as a large shadow suddenly came across him, and a rather large pokémon leaned there head into view, Clavell reaching up to rub underneath the Gyarados's chin idly.]
My own looking into it has come to the same mysterious conclusion, much as it had when a friend and I looked into the vending machine dispensing starters at the underground mall. No one really knows how, but so far its harmless.
That and the hatched pokémon appear healthy.
[-and what a curious Gastly that was. Cute.]
no subject
Jinwoo's expression shifts to one of surprise, and for just a brief moment he looks tense, but he relaxes as soon as he realizes the creature in the video means no harm. Of course. Just his reflexes kicking in.]
We have... monsters where I'm from, but they're all immensely hostile towards humans. So this is all a first for me. I don't mean to impose, but is there anything in particular I should know about raising one? And, is... that a Pokemon as well?
[It's kind of ferocious looking, and large besides.
Next to him Gastly first seems startled and ducks behind his shoulder, but then peeks out again and calls out to the other Pokemon curiously.]

[So her fish is a pokémon?! That explains a lot! She needs to download that Pokédex application right away!]
My egg hatched an orange fish with yellow fins, and I'm worried about its wellbeing! Please, is there any way of finding out what's it like inside this ball?
[She holds a Dive Ball up into the camera.]
no subject
Ah, that sounds as if you've hatched yourself a Magikarp- does it happen to look anything like this?
[That white cased Rotophone propped into frame and twirled around until it brought up the image of a Paldean pokédex card for said Pokémon within clear view.]
As for your question, the app for these phones here are a little more difficult to get a pokéball scan working without tweaking the phone itself, I'm afraid.

[He was about to contact him on his own, because really, his new pokémon friend is... a lot more difficult to get a hang of than his cute little Tepig was.]
My egg hatched a Honedge. Do you have any advice on how to read its mood? I'm finding it really hard to understand what it needs since it doesn't have a face.
[Besides, it's creepy!! He can't warm up to it like he could to his cute Hinobuta!]
no subject
[Clavell tilted his head with a slight adjusting to his glasses, leaning back on the park bench he was currently resting on. Honedge, was it?]
Well, the blue gem embedded in the hilt is one way- that is a Honedge's true eye after all, along with the long ribbon-like arm it has as well. The hilt is something like armor for it, to rest it's sharp body within, and has a more 'false-face' to look a bit more foreboding as tends to occur with Ghost Types; an eerie appearance in some way or another.
So a bit of reliance on 'body language', if you would, along with the tones it makes sounds in. As well, do be sure that no one grabs it's hilt, or they may find themselves caught by that cloth around their arm and life energy being drained. More so if it is someone they don't know.

[ the camera pans down as the wolf-eared girl tilts the phone toward her, revealing a smallish Snivy sitting her lap. it peers up at the screen, then reaches for it; she obliges by handing the phone over, so the camera is mostly filled with Snivy snout. ]
I got this kid earlier this month and, uh. Hadn't had time to reach out to anyone about him yet. ...I didn't know there was an app.
no subject
[Chuckling softly, at the sight, but it was good to have such in a young pokémon after all- a starter from the machine then.]
It is easy to get caught up in life- but yes. It's a phone app that a friend and I adapted from the program a colleague of mine created back home. We felt it would be best to make a version of it available here once the vending machine appeared and dispensed regional starter pokémon.
Better to help inform people than not, and hopefully mean accidental harm between person and pokémon can be better avoided.
