Hello everyone! My name is Céline.

I hail from Firene. I've run something of a tea trade back at home, so knowing what the landscape is like here is of great interest to me. To break the ice, as it were, I'd like to get everyone's opinion on the local tea. Favorite flavors, local brewing habits... And perhaps if you've never had any before, I may make some recommendations on flavors to try!

I've had a couple of teas with a friend of mine, there's quite a few interesting ones here. Rooibos has been my favored new one that I've tried so far.

Rooibos? An eclectic name, but I am intrigued all the same. Where can I find this new flavor?

I was lucky enough to get it from the gacha restaurant. I'm still looking for a place that regularly serves it, but I could send you the address once I do.

By the way, do you know of any particular plants here good for tea ingredients? I like to brew my own, from time to time.

I've been experimenting with different flowers myself, I can give you a list of the ones I've tried so far that worked well. There's such a variety though, it's going to take me forever to test them all.

I suppose right now *is* a good time to test tea leaves. There are so many flavors I have yet to try, so please list them.

Maybe also list the ones you haven't tried yet? I could also experiment.

Oh yes, though admittedly, this isn't the usual kind of party. Just people sharing a lot of tea and snacks. It's a very soothing time!

Ooh, you're an expert on tea? I've been trying to prepare it for the first time, but it's just not really coming out right. Do you have any tips for making it better?

[firenese]

Ah, that depends on what herbs and plants you're using to brew it. You can't let leaves steep for too long, or the flavor will come out exceedingly bitter. If you're finding new leaves to try, it might help to experiment with steeping times or even temperature!

There's that much to consider, huh? No wonder mine keep coming out strange. Jamil always prepared it for me before, and I've been trying to make it like he does, but it hasn't come close.

Keep at it, you'll definitely improve.

I didn't start out as an expert either, it took quite some doing to understand the intricacies.

That's reassuring to hear, and it's true that I'm a complete beginner at this. Do you have any flavors in particular you would recommend?

Black tea is a basic favorite of mine. Its ingredients are a little easier to get a hold of, and you can bring its best flavor out with an immediate boil. It only needs 3 to five minutes to steep.

I have fallen in love with Long Island iced teas. [ he knows that's not a real tea, per say, so... feel free to ignore him. ]

I've never heard of this Long Island tea. What's it like?

It's a mix of sweet & tangy.
Simply delicious, honestly!

Where have you tasted it? It seems that it's possible for this place to have its own version, yes?

I had it here! but it's not your conventional iced tea.

Well, I'd love to come anyway. I don't dine at restaurants often, it would be quite the experience.
