Call it being curious, but won’t some of you tell me about your home worlds? Do you wish to return to them? It’s quite alright if you don’t wish to answer, call this satisfying my own curiosity.

My world sucks and I don't want to go back to it! Like 'murder is legal sometimes' levels of bad. Compared to home, Ellipsa is a paradise.

But my parents are still there, and I wouldn't feel right abandoning them to live in paradise by myself.

I see, that sounds like a tough decision. One that would be made easier if it were easier to bring people here of their own volition.

Yeah! Supposedly they're working on a way to bring people here intentionally, but who knows when that's going to materialize. I know my parents would love it here if they had the chance, though.

... I couldn't return to my homeworld even if I wanted to. There's nothing left there.

I don't remember much of it. It was a warzone when I left. But the planet I was on before I awoke here... it was much nicer.
Have you ever heard of a place called "Penacony"?

I don’t believe I have. What was penacony like?

It's called "The Planet of Festivities". From the hotel that takes up the entire space station, you can dive into a dream shared by countless inhabitants and visitors. It's all divided into different sections, with different themes to do and see in each one.

It's like... a thriving city that's always in the midst of turn of the year celebrations mixed with an amusement park. Countless performances across all corners of the dreamscape, food more delicious than anything you could find in reality... and you're not restrained by anything that might be weighing you down in the real world.

[She won't go into the ugly side of it all, that she's seen so recently. She's not blind to the corruption and how badly things festered in that world, but... she still holds a lot of fond memories of it.]

I wouldn't mind returning. I can go back to playing soccer there and all and I guess I miss my friends that I'd made.

Hmm, how would one start describing home. It's a beautiful land, one which we have fought hard to save and make peaceful. There is still much to do, but we have started to see the beginning of our hard work.

That said, I would gladly return home, but I am in no hurry. I heard that time doesn't exactly move when we're here, so I intend to help this world while I can. Perhaps do things I would otherwise be much too busy to do.

Also noble that you would want to stick around to help here as well, I cannot help but agree with you in that sense. I want to help if I can.

Indeed I do. It is home, after all.

I hail from Ishgard, that is part of Eorzea. It is not the name of the whole world, but I have not stepped very far outside of it, so that's why I consider Eorzea the name of my home, even thought our world is very vast.

On the one hand, Amaurot was my home for many years and I miss it dearly. On the other hand, it no longer exists as I knew it, and therefore my best chance at happiness is here- with my husband and my friends. But it was a beautiful city, full of life and happiness. The buildings rose to the very clouds, and I knew every street like the back of my hand.

I take it you have just arrived? What kind of world did you come from?

I have just arrived, and found myself curious about other worlds. Far be it from me to wonder if interdimensional travel might be feasible here.

I suppose that would depend on what I might consider “home”, home is many places right?

I could speak fondly enough of a place I can no longer return to as well, though it still exists.

For what it is worth, I wish that you continue having your happiness.

For myself, home is a person. I am sure that no matter where I am, as long as I have my love here with me I will be content.
