[Zishu is looking a little rough. Fighting creatures tainted by darkness hasn't gone smoothly. He hisses as he wraps a bandage around his middle, securing it before he addresses the feed.]

Don't let a soft heart stop you from fighting with all of your strength.

[He snorts at himself and then winces.]

Or, better yet, just keep company like this.

[A flower fairy dog - in the shape of a grey and white husky with piercing blue eyes and equally blue wings - licks his cheek and he laughs.]

What should I name him?

What a good boy. I'd go with something simple. Blue comes to mind. Bluey if you wanted to be cute.

[That is quite a username! His amusement tinges his response, a smile stubbornly tugging at his lips.]

Blue? I think that would be Qing in my language.

[That's why he chose it. That stubborn smile that tries to break out.]

Qing has a good name to it. See if the doggo likes it. It would be their name. Should have their stamp of approval as well.

You know, you're right. [He turns to the large fairy pup and asks him seriously:] Do you like the name Qing?

[The dog gives a happy howl, wings fluttering.]

We got a winner! Qing it is. Awesome. Look how happy he is. Give him a treat for me, yeah? Such a good boy.

I will. [He is very grateful to his new companion - treats have definitely been earned!] If you find yourself in a tight spot, look for one of the fairy dogs. From what I've seen, they like to help.

I'll remember that. Good to know.

[Mike smiles.] Never got to have a dog growing up. Maybe I'll go look for some trouble to try and find one.

I wouldn't blame you for trying! [Zishu smirks and adds:] If you need help, call for Zhou Zishu or Wen Kexing.

Nice to meet you Zhou Zishu or Wen Kexing. Gotta admit, Kexing is an awesome sounding name.

I'm Mike. That's what everyone calls me except my mother.

I'm Zhou Zishu - or just call me Zishu. I would tell him you said that, but his ego is big enough. [He is teasing.]

Hello, Mike. How long have you been in Ellipsa?

Oh! Oops. I thought you had like two names. Alright Zishu. Getting it right this time.

Not long, honestly. Showed up just like a week or so ago now. I think. How long you been here?

Well I do. Technically. [Doesn't almost everyone? Zhou is his surname and Zishu is his name.]

I have been here one year and almost three months.

Oh. Right. I meant more like an alias. Like my name is Mike Lorlief but I used to go by Mike Schmidt for a while to hide myself.

That's a good while. What is the wildest thing you've seen here? I'm genuinely curious.

I did go by Zhou Xu for a little while for that very reason. I even dressed myself as a beggar! But people found me anyway.

Seeing people turn into animals has been interesting. Also the spirits - ghosts and banshees - I've met in the forest have given me a good startle.

Yeah, people found me too.

Huh. I mean shapeshifting is cool. And ghosts I'm used to. Banshees, seen a few of those before. I'll keep an eye out for them while I'm out and about in the forest. Are the ghosts mostly sad with a few being hostile? That's how they were mostly back home.

I hope that was a nice surprise for you.

The ghosts vary. Each one could cause you some trouble; I would avoid them as much as possible if I were you.

Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. But at least my knee got better.

[Mike winces and rubs his knee thinking about it.]

Avoid the ghosts, got it. Unless you can't then I guess deal with whatever they happen to throw at me. Sounds like home.

[Zishu is missing details. Mike, who hurt your knee?]

I hope it is a little easier for you, honestly. If you need help, I am only a call away.

Oh yeah. My mother kicked my knee in. Like it went the wrong direction after she hit me once.

[His mother is evil incarnate. Sucks to be Mike.]

Thanks. I hope so too. If I do end up in ghost trouble, I know who I'm gonna call.

[ Kexing isn't in much better shape, but he steps up beside Zishu to help with the bandage, then presses healing energy into his husband - ignoring any protests to being just fine.

He's angry enough at himself for not being enough to keep his husband safe and untouched, though he's trying to hide the worst of it.

Then the sweet fairy dog gets a warm smile and scritches behind the ears at making Zishu laugh. ]

What about Qiáng? He's a good, strong defender! Or Xiáng because of his wings and how magnificently he flies?

[ Qiáng - strength / Xiáng - flying like a bird ]

[He can sense that anger and frustration, Lao Wen. The warm rush of healing energy brings his focus to his husband's fussing. Who could have predicted that poor deer would try to gore him? For anyone wondering, antlers hurt.

But the flower fairy dog is a nice distraction! He licks at Kexing's hand too, tail wagging joyfully.]

He is big enough for both. Qiáng Xiáng sounds cute.

[A beat and he tugs on Kexing's sleeve.]

Don't be angry.

[ His husband knows him completely! Kexing rubs over the fluffy ears, smiling at the licking.

But Zishu gets his main attention and he wraps his arms around his love, snuggling into his back. ]

A-Xu knows best! Qiáng Xiáng is the best name for our new little friend.

[ Kexing still huffs and carefully tightens his hold on his husband. ]

You've been hurt too many times already.

[Since their new winged friend is big enough to ride, he deserves two names! Zishu blinks and then blushes, his hands coming to rest on Kexing's arms.]

I'm sure he will have nicknames in time.

[Because that's how families show their affection best - with silly, cute nicknames.]

Do I seem upset, Lao Wen? Beside myself? It was an accident. I don't even blame the deer.

[ He loves making his husband blush, and grins as the worst of his anger and worry ease. He nuzzles Zishu's neck, pressing shamelessly against him. ]

Of course he will~

[ Then he huffs again, pouting. ]

A-Xu is too good and kind.

[The fairy dog stretches out beside them, quite happy in the snow. He should be with all of his hair! Zishu smiles and lifts Kexing's hand so it is positioned over his heart.]

Not at all. If you were possessed and you fought with me, there would be nothing to forgive either.

[ He splays that hand out to make sure to completely cover his husband's precious heart and kisses along the side of Zishu's head. Maybe he's hungry for more of that laughter!

Or more likely possessive of the same. ]

A-Xu is teasing his poor wife again! Even possessed I would never hurt you.

[If only said laughter didn't hurt! Zishu holds his side and smiles down at his Lao Wen's warm hand. He arches just enough to bring their foreheads together, content just being in his husband's presence.]

I actually believe you, though that claim is ridiculous.

[ He presses more healing energy into his poor husband's battered body, cuddling him no less stubbornly. ]

Of course you should believe me.

[Zishu leans into Kexing fully, letting the other man hold him. Why should he resist? He closes his eyes as he lets his body and mind rest.]

Now you're making it sound dangerous.

[ This complete trust soothes his fear and worry and anger as he fusses over his soulmate, chasing away as much of the pain and physical damage as he can. The comment makes him laugh and he nuzzles his husband's shoulder. ]

I wouldn't lie to my A-Xu!

[Zishu likes the fussing and he smiles, burying a hand in his Lao Wen's stunning hair. Any time his husband touches him, he feels at peace. Wanted.]

But you might fib.

[ If he ever doubts how much Zishu likes his white hair, all he has to do is peek into those beautiful eyes. And remind himself just how often Zishu plays with it. His eyes close as he sighs happily, snuggling into his love's back and pressing into that hand. ]

Not with this.

[Zishu adores those white strands and what they mean. He adores all of Wen Kexing - from his head to his toes! But the hair is what captivates him and he often finds himself playing with it.]

Ah I trust you. I was only teasing. When it's important, I know you won't lie.

Puppy!!

[Only the most helpful contribution from the small child.]

A big puppy. [Zishu shifts the camera so the flower fairy dog can be seen, tongue lolling and wings flapping.]

[What a good boy! Mary's face lights up at the sight of doggo.]

He's cute- Have you thought of a name yet??

Do you have any ideas? I'm taking notes for possibilities.

[She needs to meet said doggo, Zishu decides.]

Hmmm maybe something that matches his colours?? He looks so fluffy...

[She'd definitely like to meet him sometime!]

So something blue. [She must.] Would you like to meet him, little miss?

Yes, I want to! Can I??

[She wants to give him lots of fuss-]

I think you need to. [Pups of this caliber need lots of love!]
