video; un: saxitup | two truths, one lie
Hello! Some of you might remember me, but in case you don't - my name is Ren Jinguji. I returned during New Years and I'm resuming my work as an idol!
[With rewnewed energy, as one might notice from his annoyingly sparkling smile.]
But that's not why I'm making this post, really. I want to propose a game! Something so we can get to know each other better.
This is, two truths, one lie. Write three things about yourself, one of which is a lie. Others will have to guess which one it is. Of course, you can also reply as a video or a voice message, if that's easier.
Simple, right? Let's have fun.

Thank you!! (^///^)
2 is true; pineapple is great on pizza and so is mango!

Good to know! Let's see... 1?
[She's good at other things besides math, too.]

... But only because I lost "math" as a skill in one of the other places. ╮(︶▽︶)╭
It was a weird few months.

Long story short:
A bunch of extremely rude interdimensional horrors called Reapers were unmaking worlds and everything in them. A fragment of Kyriakos survived, and its queen and princess, who were themselves fragments, came up with a (truly well-intentioned but in practice not the best!) plan to save as many people as they could: they'd fish whatever was left of people's souls out of the void, and have those people participate in events to generate energy.
The winners regained a shard of their soul - a memory or a skill. And in the process of rebuilding themselves, their worlds were also rebuilt.

But nope, 2 is true! Pizza's been growing on me a lot these past couple of years and I really like it with pineapple. Plum and mango's great too.

My favorite flowers are blue roses. They don't occur naturally ... at least in my homeworld. (Maybe I should've phrased it differently in my post? There's so many worlds out there, after all.)
Scientists have used genetic engineering to introduce delphinidin (a blue pigment found in some other flowers) to white roses, but even those aren't truly blue - they're purple!

It really IS incredible though! The people, the history, the magic, the places and the creatures and everything ... Ellipsa isn't my first time in another world, but it's definitely the biggest. It still feels kinda wild that you could walk out into the segments and a week later you could still be walking!

Was your homeworld small? Or the one you visited before this one?

Case in point, I'm interested in your flower. A cultivar of some kind, or extinct?

But math IS the best????? ∑( 口 ||
1 is the lie though! It's my best and favorite subject, but a few years ago I temporarily lost it as a skill.
My favorite flower is the blue rose! Have you heard of them?
no subject
Even so, if you find it enjoyable, I hope you strive to get it back. No lost skill left behind, and all that.
A blue rose... Yes. But only as a representative of the unattainable. Don't tell me they've managed to laboratory-grow them in your time period? How exciting. [ He honestly does love flowers, so this is big news for the rose fandom. ]

It's a kaomoji! You can use characters and punctuation to represent facial expressions. That one is shock, this one (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) is a smile
and this is a sassy shrug! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you! I was able to regain it, fortunately. It was a magic thing.
Speaking of magic, you mentioned runic curses! Are they something from your world?
Sounds like the same symbolism we have back home: mystery, wishes, and the unattainable.
But!
Scientists HAVE been able to introduce delphinidin, a blue pigment found in some other genera, to white roses through genetic engineering! So far they're purple instead of true blue, but it's still incredibly cool, right?

You said a few years ago that happened, was it at home, or here, that you lost it?
Oh, there's plenty of magic in my world. Too much, some people might say. The Ancients have a runic alphabet that is linked to the type I personally use, it looks like this:
[ That's a picture of a handwritten page tucked into a book, without any translations next to it - he's also figuring out how to use the camera function of the phone, not too bad at it, even if it's meant to be easy to use, and her enthusiasm
and kaomoji rune setis infectious, it makes him want to share. ]That is extremely cool, I agree. [ Oh good he does know 'cool' already, and he's grinning unseen at the prospect of flower science. This actual nerd. ] Thank you for telling me. I'll have to see if I can lay hands on one.
