Huh, that makes sense. But at least the starter apartments are free when you first get here! And they're pretty good for a small place. I've lived in three different places here, but I only left the starter apartments because we were outgrowing them.

he actually passed on due to an accident a few years ago
but we got to meet again in a place kind of like this one?

I know we're encouraged to do it, but I'm not sure how to feel about it...

I didn't do a lot at first either, but there's easier and safer quests if you're just starting out! Sometimes businesses in town will even do sponsored quests as promotions, it's kinda silly. But for the actual adventuring, I think it's important. And fun, too, you get to see all kinds of stuff.
