ellipsanet | Mini Event: Network Misfires... 2!

It starts with a network post from a generic "researchcentre" account. The video feed shows what appears to be an empty cubicle, and a few employees gossiping in the background.

"Can't believe he brought the cat to work again."

"Who, Gary? Yeah, I heard Helene felt bad for him."

The cat in question creeps into the video, curiously nosing and pawing at the screen, as the conversation continues.

"I don't blame her. I saw his dream a couple weeks back, and Buttercup looked so sad alone at home!"

"Oh, that dream cloud thing? What a disaster. Can't believe Bartholomew holds down a job."

"At least it's been a couple years since the cat caused an incident..."

As if on cue, Buttercup gets bored and starts walking on the keyboard. The feed cuts off.

Welcome to a Mini Event! Much like last time around, the network server's having cat-related difficulty, so all network messages have a chance of going to the wrong recipient. It doesn't need to happen, but there's a high chance of misfires happening for the duration of the mini event.

This post can be used for sending out messages that can end up for anyone and everyone completely without meaning to. Feel free to also just send a blank message with your character and receive messages from others! Whatever works best for you and is most fun.

This event will happen for the whole weekend, starting from now and ending on late Sunday night (so March 6-9) once they finally manage to fix the mistake. As always, backtagging is encouraged.

Remember to put warnings up if you want to post anything NSFW-ish and especially link pictures; however, if anything gets explicit (e.g. sexting), remember to move it to inboxes or another post.

I'm afraid all my licenses and credentials didn't come with me when I arrived at Ellipsa, so all you have is my word, but yes, I am licensed. And I'm very confident in my abilities. I'm assuming Levi is your name? You keep signing your texts.

If you know what you're doing, I suppose a paper doesn't matter. Do you have experience with pain relief?

Well you already told it once, you don't need to remind me each time, it's fine! Unless someone else is there with you sharing your device? As for pain relief it really depends. As always, any legitimate problems you are having should be checked out by your doctor. But other than that, it depends on the pain. I have cured some pain, and have temporarily relieved other times. The times I couldn't help with pain were an indication of a bigger problem that required a doctor. What kind of pain are you experiencing?

Someone could steal it. Or break into the conversation. I heard that's a thing that can happen.

Doctors have been checking me for two years. I'm willing to try alternatives.

[ It... hasn't been helping. Not as much as he'd like, anyway. They insist nothing is wrong anymore, and there are still days he can barely move. (It may or may not be psychosomatic, but he hasn't figured that part out.) ]

It's an old injury. My knee was crushed and the surgeons here put it back together.

If someone steals your phone, they can see your texts and still sign as you and pretend. If someone else breaks into the conversation on their phone, their username will appear by their texts so I can still tell who's typing. Well regardless, it's not important. You can type how you like, don't mind me~ But yes, regarding your knee injury. I'm sorry to hear that. I can't promise anything, but if you're willing to try, then I'll gladly see what I can do. First time customers get a free trial from me, so you have nothing to lose. I don't think I can cure it but I'm sure I can provide some temporary relief. So you just want me to do your leg? No full body?

are you absolutely sure? You'd be surprised by just how many knots you really have in your body. If you're uncomfortable, you're welcome to have it done while clothed, albeit it wouldn't be as effective. I'll leave it at that and you can tell me if you change your mind. I have scheduled you for your leg. Are you allergic to clove, peppermint, or eucalyptus?

[ The accommodations might actually convince him to give it a try. He just doesn't feel comfortable laying down with a stranger in the room; when it's just his leg alone, he's still in a good position to defend himself. He's probably being paranoid for no reason, but old habits die hard. ]
