I hope everyone's okay now! Cleaning up after all that is HARD but at least my house didn't get hit too bad... Does anyone need help with anything after last week? Oh, and speaking of my house, we just added a bunch of expansions! We've got an indoor pool now! Friends can come over whenever! I think I know most people on here anyway, and Mary-chan's got a bunch of friends too.

Also also! During that whole thing I tried the full shapeshift. You know, the dragon skill that changes you on the inside and not just the outside? I did it to be more giraffe than I already am because I thought it would help me fight. And it was like, whoa! I could see everything! And hear everything! And I kinda kicked a guy into a wall! Does anyone know how to deal with sensory overload if I ever do that again because it's kind of a lot and by kind of I mean a lot a lot.

P.S. Hina-chan's turning one on the 7th! If you're friends with her come over then! We'll have blood cake and regular cake.

There's a hyperfocus skill? But maybe, that is possible. But what about this... what reason do you have for wanting to do this to begin with?

Hm... Because I wanna save the world. I wanna keep the city safe. If those guys attack us again, I wanna be able to come back to Mary-chan and Mecchan and Hina-chan and Mimi-chan and the dolls, and be able to say I did my best and they'll be okay now. I don't wanna make Neechan cry. If my friends who are even less human than I am get attacked by that gang who wants to keep them captive and dissect them, or anyone I love gets hurt by anyone else, I wanna help. I want to ask the guys who are doing this why -- why they hurt this world to begin with when it welcomed them and kept them safe, and why they won't stop. Maybe even change how they feel.

I think that's all the why.

{ he doesn't interrupt as rinku speaks, but a soft and warm small smile forms on his lips as she does. they're very similar in that way. seeing people in pain and suffering is the worst. wanting to protect people, that can be a powerful thing. }

I don't think I said this before, but the blessings I received are useless on their own, y'know? It's the power of my conviction that gives me the ability to use them. For me, it's pretty similar to you. I want to stop people from hurting, to end their suffering, in any way I can. When I focus on that, it's easier to take one step forward at a time, gives me that focus I need. Do you want to try focusing on that instead of a specific sound or sight and see if it helps?

[Rinku tilts her head for a minute. She hums and thinks.]

'Kay. I can try.

[She breathes in and out. It still seems like a struggle -- occasionally her eyes will dart in some direction, and she makes a face once or twice -- but this seems to hold her attention for longer. She nods.]

Okay. I think... maybe it's okay?

Yeah, to be honest it may be harder without actual danger there to focus on. { he looks to the side. } Which is kinda hard to mimic without... y'know the actual risk being there. But if it works as a start, maybe when something happens you can draw from it?

Yeah. But the weapons I use are kind of useless without it. My conviction is what helps me wield them. I really wasn't sure if it'd help at all since obviously the abilities here are really different. Glad it could a bit though!

Of course! It kinda makes sense. If you're doing something important, you gotta care about it, right? That would make sense to me.

Exactly! Though I guess because I cared about it, that's why I was chosen.

{ he looks at his hands now. }

Not that it's everything for the reason why, but a big part of it I think.

Yeah. That exactly. It's not exactly a happy story though, so I can tell you about it another time when you aren't going to be kicking me into a wall after it.

{ he looks sheepish, but this is partly to protect himself as well. there's a reason he hasn't tried too hard to think about what happened back then. }

[Rinku shakes her head to try and get the worries out.]

{ hopefully it's easy enough for her to shake off, the last thing he wants to do is distract her when she's already struggling with focus. }

{ the single wing will form from his back now, curling in a way that should cusion his back side at least. then he'll call for barachiel for the front, shield raised and ready. }

I can tell you if you need to dial it up or down depending on how it feels.

[Rinku nods. She takes a deep breath, digs her fingernails into her palms, and turns on one heel to kick Ezra as she spins around.

there's a loud oof as he gets thrown back into the wall. even with a fair bit of distance it's enough to send him flying. thankfully between barachiel and gabriel's blessings he's just had the wind knocked out of him. barachiel's shield shattered but that means it took the hit for him. }

Damn, yeah you don't wanna use that on anyone innocent...

[Rinku lets the full shapeshift drop. She runs over to his side and frets, looking over him.]

Are you okay? Do you need healing? Sorry, I should've held back!

{ he'll cough for a second, but then give her a smile and a thumbs up--smiling through whatever pain or ache that is there. it'll be short lived. }

I'm fine, really! Pretty sure it caught the brunt of it. You definitely need to figure out the best way to dial back the power behind it, maybe take a slower turn for the kick?

Huh... You mean so there isn't so much force in it at once? I kinda slept through physics a lot in high school, but I think I get it.
