Hello! My name is Asami. I currently work at the Research Center in general technology and I'm a Spring.

[That's a quick and nice introduction from this lady before actually getting into why she's contacting the network, sitting in a living room dressed in fairly comfortable and casual clothes.]

I'm very interested in technology in general and wish to know what kind of technological level you have back in your worlds. My own isn't even closed to what they have here. Our telephones have landlines, for example, and our cars look nothing like the ones here. So it's been a new and wonderful experience.

[She's made plenty of new discoveries so far.]

Or you could tell me what's your favorite technological thing you've discovered while being here... or even just an app on these smartphones.

...Huh. i didn't know they had a section for researching general technology.

[ Not that she's entirely sure that she'd join something like that even with her love of technology and information gathering. ]

Back home, the technology wasn't on this level--I know a large part of it is probably because 'magic' didn't really exist, but there are just some levels that we hadn't actually achieved just yet.

The world I was in before this one was a bit more advanced, and I knew someone that was good at creating pretty advanced things to the point where it was basically a fashion statement. Honestly, my favorite technological thing that I've discovered thus far... I'd probably have to say probably these devices. Ah- don't get me wrong, we have things like this at home, but the transformative factor is what makes them unique.

Ah, yeah- bugs and glitches are definitely things that people would need to look out for. Even more so if there winds up being hackers who might also try and toss viruses and the like, too.

[ It's been a while since she's gotten to talk about this stuff, so if there's a bit of bubble of interest- you're not imagining it. ]

Honestly, I'm personally glad for it, as well. Really not used to magitech crap- pardon my language- so if I'm working on something, I'd at least rather have it stay mundane.

[ Mostly because she has barely any good experiences with magic and tech being combined. But that's not something that she needs to bring up, especially not on a first meeting. ]

Yeah. Having a laptop and a phone is just- Kind of crazy, to be honest. It allows for a lot of things to be done with it, especially if you're utilizing apps.

Exactly. There's always going to be some imperfections in the code that someone can tear into.

[ Anyway- ]

Basically.

Apps that are most useful- I don't really use too many, personally. Notepad and recording applications are my go-tos. That might be a bit boring, though.

Yeah, if you're using a higher end device and aren't downloading a bunch of like, games or music, you don't tend to run out of space easily.

Yeah, you probably wouldn't in that case... games are probably the biggest applications regarding phone space, honestly.

That's basically it. There's a lot of programming that goes on behind the scenes, not to mention that you'd also need much more assets for a game compared to a notepad. You end up comparing two wildly different beasts.
