Hello! My name is Asami. I currently work at the Research Center in general technology and I'm a Spring.

[That's a quick and nice introduction from this lady before actually getting into why she's contacting the network, sitting in a living room dressed in fairly comfortable and casual clothes.]

I'm very interested in technology in general and wish to know what kind of technological level you have back in your worlds. My own isn't even closed to what they have here. Our telephones have landlines, for example, and our cars look nothing like the ones here. So it's been a new and wonderful experience.

[She's made plenty of new discoveries so far.]

Or you could tell me what's your favorite technological thing you've discovered while being here... or even just an app on these smartphones.

An excellent line of inquiry. Is there perhaps there is a way to test their functionality in such conditions?

Unfortunately, my duties leave me little time to check on the Manufactory's work. I'm afraid I cannot speak with regard to particular detail. With that said, my understanding is that the technology our engineers are working on ranges from weaponry to everyday items of convenience and luxury. I hear tell they are looking at small auditory devices that can receive broadcasts from a single, distance source. I believe they are called "radios".

Hm, indeed. I suppose it couldn't hurt to try prior to sending people out for field tests all the same, however.

So they exist in other worlds as well, then. Glad am I to hear that they can be so useful. Though I've also heard that they can play music by the same function. Anything that brings more music to our lives is worth looking into.

Besides the radios, I have heard that the Garleans made great strides in medicine due to their inability to use magic. Though the manufactory focuses more on the development of vehicles and weapons, I hope such advancements in medicine make their way to Ishgard as well. That way, the practice will be able to broaden even to those with no aptitude for healing magics or alchemy.
