Following today the abandoned mansion near the airship station will be closed off to everyone.

The seasonal power holders have worked together to create a barrier. The reason for this is simple, there is something in there that is unlike anything we’ve seen before. My companion and I entered that building on May 29th with the goal of trying to ensure it could be used as a safe spot. Unfortunately, both of us died in that place.

I’ve attached a document with the knowledge we acquired from fighting it in case it sounds similar to anything you’ve encountered before. I also have a video that can be requested. Olwen has contacted researchers to start analysing what it may be, but any similarities may help.

I will not be answering personal questions on the matter. Please keep this informational.

I promised to be transparent, and honestly the more information shared the better. I wouldn't want anyone else to find themselves in the same situation or something similar and know that I could have helped when I didn't.

I'll send the video. From what we could tell it was already trying to reach out, but the light we used may have made it angrier. Considering it eats lifeforms I doubt it would have been friendly had we left it alone.

I can see why you had trouble describing it. Do you think it would be possible to get it to consume something hazardous to itself, if it were inside something organic?

Indeed. And we tried something similar, the person I was with created something it would devour and exploded it inside it.

It only seemed to make it worse.

I didn't try earth after plant matter seemed to be so tasty for it. Water blades cut the arms off, but that only grew more in response.

Fire would likely just add to its strength. Wind tends to be neutral though.

There has to be a core within it. It would not be able to be sentient without one.

I wouldn't say it's confirmed it is sentient, more that it reached and grabbed for anything it could.

It still needs something to control its functions. We just need a way to reach that something.

Do you know if it would be able to obtain a piece of this creature? You mentioned your water blades could cut off parts. If we had one of those parts, perhaps we could study it.

I have a feeling researchers may already be looking into that. But the parts didn't exactly exist after they were cut off. It did seem to be made of shadow, after all.

Would it be possible to freeze them?

I couldn't say. While I'm able to apply hydro, I didn't have my sister with me at the time to test that, nor would I encourage her to go anywhere near it now I know it exists.

A strong enough wind might be able to freeze it. I possess that power now.

Potentially, though it may also just burst the side of the mansion and let it free.

Nor can we rush right in without proper preparation. It has been sealed for now, until a plan can be strategised.

That is very possible. I would encourage caution just in case there are more of them. In this case, spirits were sealing it inside the mansion already.

Right, you mentioned them before. Can you better describe these spirits? I've never encountered such things.

I wasn't able to see them on my own, but I imagine someone who has learned the skill of Winter could.

I will seek out a Winter user to join me in an exploration then.
